Thurman#1
Hnagartner was the worst rated C in terms of pass blocking - according to some stat website which was in a thread a while back (the thread had Peters like 8th worst in terms of LTs). The worst in the entire league, 32/32. Im not sure how that leads you to believe he was good. Um, about Peters? He wasn't the 8th worst of all tackles (LTs and RTs together), he was the SIXTH-BEST. Out of 77. Even with all the ankle problems. http://profootballfocus.com/by_position.ph...&numgames=1 Go there and click on Pass Block. But be careful how many times you click on it. Click once and it ranks them by pass blocking first-to-worst. Click again and it ranks them worst-to-first. Click again, first-to-worst. But it should be very obvious, because positive (good) scores are listed in green and negatives (bad) are shown in red. Peters was the SIXTH-BEST. Just saying. 4BillsintheBurgh
Considering the roster and depth, I am hoping we get an LT and a RG high in this draft. Wood can take his time coming back and when he does you can put him in at center. We have some depth at tackle and in the interior at that point. PDaDdy
Butler gave up a whopping 1 sack last season...maybe he's not the second coming and he wasn't gifted enough to play LT...but he was a good lineman...he was a solid RT that didn't get beat there...so why not sing his praises?...especially since D Bell was the LT and gave up a sack every other play and got a penalty on the ones he didn't How many games did Butler play? Tough to give up sacks when you are injured on the sideline.
spartacus
Try again buddy... The most important spot on the offensive line is the tackle who protects the BLIND-SIDE of the QB. If we got a left handed QB, it wouldn't really help much to get a LT...and keep the blind-side exposed. He would still get killed. I understand where you are coming from...most LT's are most important because their QB is right handed. But with a left handed QB, the RT would be most important. you must work for the Bills - completely lost on the skill sets needed by LT and RT to combat the players typically lining up across from them -- which has absolutely nothing to do with which hand the QB throws the football. most of the elite pass rushers play against the LT - so they will be the guys putting your QB (left handed or right handed) in the hospital if you have a scrub playing LT
