If Bud and Miller ever got wind of Dyngus Day it would become one of America's great ethnic drinking holidays right along with St. Pats and Cinco de Mayo. I mean how many holidays involve wet t-shirt contests? It's a natural.

Speaking of Kielbasa...found a Polish Market here that makes the real deal. Fantastic!

 

Made our own kielbasa this year with my Mom. Old family recipe. Simply amazing. Doesn't seem as fat and greasy when done with the best ingredients. Alot of work though, with the hand meat grinder.

That's the way my Dad did it many moons ago...it was the best!

I'm unorthodox with the Kielbasa. Grill it, and serve it with Pierogi fried with onions in bacon fat. Sublime.
