Before Tony Stark faces new foes, before a young avatar attempts to end the war of the elements, before the jolly green ogre makes a deal that will change everything, before the Cullens & Quilete join forces, before Gru attempts to steal the moon, before an expert archer becomes the most famous outlaw in England, before four Iraq war veterans attempt to clear their name with the U.S. military, before a prince faces evil in the land of Persia, and before Andy's toys are sent to a day-care center....the month of April ends it's Spring season with a bang. Bigger budgets and bigger titles add some excitement this month as fore runners to the tent pole titles of Summer.

Leading the charge this month is the Warner Bros. updated remake of "Clash of the Titans". In a loose adaptation from Greek mythology, Perseus who was born a god but raised as a man, sets off on an epic mission to combat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson & Ralph Fiennes.

A lesser known comic book comes to the silver screen in "Kick-Ass". Despite the fact that he has zero superpowers, teenage fanboy Dave Lizewski looks to reincarnate himself as a crime-fighting superhero named Kick-Ass, a decision that will inspire a subculture of copy cats, put his life in danger, and unite him with a similarly minded father-daughter duo. Starring Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage & Chloe Moretz.

In 1984 a new horror franchise was born. Now that franchise gets a fresh start with " A Nightmare on Elm Street". Disfigured serial killer Freddy Krueger stalks a group of young people in their dreams, forcing them to remain awake as the only alternative to death. Starring Jackie Earle Haley.

Steve Carell & Tina Fey headline, "Date Night". In New York City, a case of mistaken identity turns a bored married couple's attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening into something more thrilling and dangerous.

Tyler Perry directs "Why Did I Get Married, Too?". Four couples reunite for their annual vacation in order to socialize and to spend time analyzing their marriages. Their intimate week in the Bahamas is disrupted by the arrival of an ex-husband determined to win back his recently remarried wife. Starring Janet Jackson, Tyler Perry & Jill Scott.

Chris Rock & Martin Lawrence star in "Death at a Funeral". A patriarch's funeral leads to a series of family arguments, revealing dark secrets and possibly murder.

In "The Losers", After being betrayed and left for dead, members of a CIA black ops team root out those who targeted them for assassination. Starring Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana, Jeffrey Dean Morgan & Chris Evans.

Miley Cyrus stars in "The Last Song", A drama centered on a rebellious young woman who is sent to spend the summer with her estranged father, who abandoned his family in the past. Also starring Liam Hemsworth & Greg Kinnear.

Disneynature brings it's second documentary to the big screen with "Oceans". An ecological drama/documentary, filmed throughout the globe. Part thriller, part meditation on the vanishing wonders of the sub-aquatic world.

In "Please Give", A Manhattan couple find their plan to expand their apartment complicated when they bond with Andra, their elderly neighbor next door. Starring Catherine Keener, Oliver Platt & Rebecca Hall.

In "Letters To God", A young boy writes letters to God as he fights cancer, inspiring, among many other people, a postal worker tasked with "delivering" the boy's mail. Starring Tanner Maguire, Jeffrey Johnson and Robyn Lively.

In "The Back-up Plan", Single gal Zoe meets potential husband Stan on the day of her artificial insemination. Despite the initial spark, the two lovers begin to wonder if they're taking the right steps to an enduring romance. Starring Jennifer Lopez & Alex O' Loughlin.

I think I speak for a great many of us here when I say that I don't need to hear about any upcoming Miley Cyrus movies until she's a legal adult, flames out her career, and starts doing B-grade straight-to-Skinemax flicks.

And even then, I'm not sure I want to know.

According tothis review sounds like her movie career has already flamed out.

I'm looking forward to these two

I was at Wonder Con this weekend, and they had a panel for The Losers. I had no idea that it was based on a comic book. It does look like a good action flick.

I did not see the panel for Kick-Ass, but I am interested in seeing how that one turns out.

Went to see "Hot Tub Time Machine" today and it was very funny. Don't be scared away by the title.

It was awesomely crappy. Best description I can come up with. I like how they didn't even bother trying to be very consistent with a lot of the story and references to 1986.

Wow. I'm usually pretty hard to please as far as comedies go. I find most of them made in the last 10-15 years or so dumb. ie anything with Will Farrel. I really enjoyed Hot Tub though which I was pleasantly surprised at. Laughing or at least smiling all the way through it. You didn't like the bathroom scene after the guy lost the bet? I guess it may be one of those movies you really love or just hate.

Another remake of a movie that was made 20 years ago? America is getting so dumb.

It's not so much that America is getting dumb (which we are) it's that Hollywood is lazy and has been for decades. They've been remaking movies since they started making movies.

The girl is not a good actor......but from what I understand she still grosses 5 million a year from all the stuff she does.

She is doin alright

At the expense of the typical American who wouldn't know class or culture if it hit them in the face.

Saw it this weekend, I don't think it'll be in the theaters long, only 10 people were there. For those that don't like religion being shoved down your throat, you'll want to avoid it. For those that want to hear an uplifting story of hope, go see it.

Went and saw Kick Ass last night, very good movie. I would aviod taking anyone under 14 though due to the violence. Even though it's about kids being superheros, it's not a kids movie.

I read a review that said pretty much the same thing. It really makes you question the way they're marketing that movie.
