Cornerville Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 'SHOCKING' NOTE: If this is an April Fool's joke, that is a FAIL
CountDorkula Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 So we can offer the Browns a 6th now and there is our 3-4 DT. Im in for that!
DrDawkinstein Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 So we can offer the Browns a 6th now and there is our 3-4 DT. Im in for that! id still take him too
Lori Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 No joke, unless the Plain-Dealer is either in on it or being duped. FWIW, both Barry Switzer and St. Bonaventure baseball coach Larry Sudbrook have been arrested for the same thing. Mere forgetfulness (or stupidity, if you want to call it that), but probably not something that's going to give him a Plaxico-style prison sentence.
dwight in philly Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 id still take him too whats a gun possession charge, if the guy can play NT?, just hope it doesnt piss off lynch having a possible dangerous guy on the team
HereComesTheReignAgain Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Not to make light of the situation, but I nearly crossed into Canada with a handgun simply because I forgot it was in my car. I am licensed to carry in NY and was not doing anything remotely illegal in NYS. Once I crossed the border I could have been in a world of trouble. Luckily I remembered it was there about 15 miles from the border. Stupid, absolutely. Indicative of character issues, hardly.

SawchukBills Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I hope it's not a joke...that's a pretty serious joke...but yeah I'd still want him

HereComesTheReignAgain Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 So what did you do with your gun? Turn around and take it home? Yep, really didn't have any other options.

stuckincincy Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 So we can offer the Browns a 6th now and there is our 3-4 DT. Im in for that! Don't forget...he was tossed onto IR with a broken leg last season.
silvermike Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I wasn't aware of such a crime. I believe he has the 2nd amendment on his side. If the second amendment protected your right to carry a loaded gun on an airplane, I've been wasting my time in those lines for years.
Pete Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 what kind of jackass tries to board a plane with a loaded gun?
Rob's House Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 If the second amendment protected your right to carry a loaded gun on an airplane, I've been wasting my time in those lines for years. Didn't realize it was on a plane. Original poster just said gun possession
Buffalo Wing Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I live down here in NE Ohio and this is true. The media and talk shows are all over him for his stupidity. He does tend to take plays off, but when he is on his game, he is very good. There had been talks during the offseason about unloading him, so this incident may speed up that process. That aside, I don't think Holmgren will get fleeced if the Browns do decide to trade him.
silvermike Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 As far as this affects football, well, it's really not a big deal. It's stupid, but it's not the kind of thing that says "team-destroying screaming moron." Of course, there are other things about Shaun Rogers that say that, so this doesn't really move the ball forward for him there.
Steely Dan Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If the gun is licensed this is a non-issue other than a very serious brain cramp.

Sudbrook is from my hometown of Bradford PA, he's an avid hunter and one of the biggest hick's around. Doubt it was much more then a deer rifle, suprised I never heard about it.
