stinky finger Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I have to be honest. I'm looking for some lateral movement by this team.
billsfreak Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 If we don't trade up or trade down then stand pat ?????????????? Are there any other options other than to trade up, trade down or stand pat?
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 If we don't trade up or trade down then stand pat ?????????????? Are there any other options other than to trade up, trade down or stand pat? We could do what the Vikings did a couple of years ago and just not draft at all.
stinky finger Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 If we don't trade up or trade down then stand pat ?????????????? Are there any other options other than to trade up, trade down or stand pat? Yes. Lateral. Pay attention.
Beerball Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 We could do what the Vikings did a couple of years ago and just not draft at all. That's what I'm hoping to avoid. The draft is at night this year, and we all know Buddy likes to get his rest. It would ruin this franchise if we missed our pick.
erynthered Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 We could do what the Vikings did a couple of years ago and just not draft at all. Was thinking the same thing...........
Mr. WEO Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 go for best player available not a DB or WR or RB or TE You just stole Darth Ice's next topic.
Beerball Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Yes. Lateral. Pay attention. And exactly how is that going to help the team? Trading draft picks to yourself for the same draft picks has been shown time and time again to be a waste of time.
billsfreak Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Yes. Lateral. Pay attention. No such thing, unless two teams share the same pick. Any trade is either up or down, so YOU pay attention!
3rdnlng Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Yes. Lateral. Pay attention. Forward lateral or backward lateral?
CountDorkula Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Forward lateral or backward lateral? Since forward laterals are unconstitutional, it would have to be backwards!
stinky finger Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 And exactly how is that going to help the team? Trading draft picks to yourself for the same draft picks has been shown time and time again to be a waste of time. Look, I don't fancy myself a GM, so lets just get that outta the way. All I know is it has worked time and again in the NBA. It all depends where your ping pong ball is selected. Since the Bills have the 9th pick, I figure this is an oppurtune time to employ this strategy. I can't provide a link for proof, but I just know this might work.
stinky finger Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 No such thing, unless two teams share the same pick. Any trade is either up or down, so YOU pay attention! Correctumundo, muchacho! Precisely why I said what I said when I said it.
BillsfaninSixburgh Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 go for best player available not a DB or WR or RB or TE Ralph Wilson is on the phone. He's been reading this thread and wants to hire you all for his scouting staff. Reminds me of Yogi Berra who said - "when you come to a fork in the road - take it!"
Fan in Chicago Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 go for best player available not a DB or WR or RB or TE We should consider deferring.
