Pete Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 My friend is trying to get to Germany for a wedding in July and we can't find fare for under $1000. She can fly out of Boston, JFK, or Newark. Any cheap flight to Europe would work and then take Ryan Air. $1000 seems outrageous. Almost twice what I have paid in the past
BB27 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Where in Germany do they need to fly into? Need that info in order to look and see. (Have a friend with Delta who usually steers me in the right direction, but it is all about departure and arrival city). Also specific dates.

July 12-20 is the flexible period. The wedding is the 16th
BuffaloBud Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I've used Yapta.com to track fares with pretty good success.
KD in CA Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Part of the problem is the timing. July is peak season for travel to Europe, I think fares tend to rise sigificantly once summer starts. There's always priceline if you can be flexible in the timing/route, etc.
aussiew Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Try travelocity and expedia. It's kind of early for the summer specials though. There is such a thing as buying too soon.
