ChasBB Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I want to see what Gailey and his staff can do with Edwards. As a fan, I'll give Trent the benefit of the doubt -- for one more season. But he needs to really show something this season or at the very least, finish strong over the last 8 games.
snamsnoops Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm over-tired of a bunch of big-mouthed no-ass faggots running around yapping about how Trent Edwards is a pu$$y. Do you simpering little ***** even watch football? The guy has started less than 2 seasons worth of games in this league and the first half of that stretch the biggest problem he had was his insistence on regularly standing in the pocket, facing down constant jailbreaks, refusing to protect himself and taking shot after shot in the face cuz he was trying to make plays down the field. And after showing the guts to repeatedly stand in there behind that joke of an OLine, willingly getting his grill mashed game after game after game he takes a concussion from one of the baddest men in the league and then finally realizes that he needs to protect himself if he's going to survive in this league. So after a couple years of playing under the worst coaching staff in the NFL behind the worst Offensive Line in the league, a bunch of needle-dicked little bug-fu(kers are going to run around with their little internet muscles calling this guy a pu$$y after he spent week after week repeatedly stepping into throws knowing he was going to get his face smashed in.I have no idea whether this kid is going to be a good player in this league, and neither do you. But what I do know is that anybody that calls him a pu$$y after the multiple killshots he's willingly taken is nothing but an all-talk, gutless little ******** who would piss down his own leg the first and last time he was asked to stand up in an NFL pocket. Right on Bud. It was a little harsh with words, but definetly to the point. Couldn't agree more. RFLMAO! JUST GREAT! SRFLMAO!

Trent Edwards is a kitty. Now Trent or trents sister or trents lover whichever you are, YES we have watched all his games and he is the same kitty he was in college, nothing has changed. He has a gay assed release if you want to call pushing the ball an actual release. He has a weak arm, wobbly deep ball, will NOT throw into traffic like GOOD NFL QB's will do and will not throw with anticpation. As for as the hits, cry me a !@#$ing river. ALL QB's take them. Hell Aikman took WORSE his first two years in the league. He sucked it up and became a HOF QB. So take your lips off Trents ass, and accept the fact, he is a kitty.
Nanker Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 oops Actually hit "send" did ya? I thought it was your kid who posted a nasty when you strolled out of the room for awhile.

Welcome to the world of anonymous internet sports postings. When people have the safety of anonymity, they will post things that they would not in person. So in this case, they're Bills fans who are angry about the team losing. When the team is losing, the quarterback is the focus. He and the head coach get the majority of the flack. combine these two things on an internet message board, and you see the kind of posts about players that you see here. Of course, it's completely divorced from reality. How many of the people calling Edwards a p***y would ever say that to his face? I remember reading the same stuff about Bledsoe. Bledsoe was another guy who would regularly stand in the pocket, waiting for wideouts to come open, knowing that he was going to get hammered. I thought he was one of the toughest QB's I've ever seen, yet I would read posts from people calling him a wimp, and I was wondering if they were confusing their Madden game replays with the real game. Unbelievable.
Nanker Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Maybe Edwards looked good before the Arizona game ,because all those teams had loosing records. Played better teams and they adjusted to Edwards. Changed the way they played him on defense. Edwards didn't adjust to what the defense gave him. Well,it's not exactly like he had a lot of help either. Dick Tracy and Alex Trebek would have been better coaches. As much as I love Marv, his tenure here as GM was an abject disaster. Though that was like cream rising to the top compared to the unmitigated disaster that was the Donahoe era.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 oops That's freaking awesome BTW - agree with the sentiment of the original post, if not the alcohol-induced passion. My fear is that TE is scarred for life because of it (the hits, not the post).
KD in CA Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 A bit harsh Not in the least, IMO. I love when the truth serum takes over. Bravo Simon.
gobillsinytown Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Well,it's not exactly like he had a lot of help either. Dick Tracy and Alex Trebek would have been better coaches. As much as I love Marv, his tenure here as GM was an abject disaster. Though that was like cream rising to the top compared to the unmitigated disaster that was the Donahoe era. There ya go. The game is changing, but one thing that hasn't changed is that it's the ultimate team sport. Any QB absolutley has to have solid offensive line play to be successful. Period. And it seems to me that the one thing that all the previous coaches and management had screwed up on was the O-line. From Donahoe drafting Mike Williams to Marv over paying for two free agent O-linemen that aren't even with the team now.
LynchMob23 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Not in the least, IMO. Bravo Simon. Quoted for truthery as the kids say. Simon, outstanding sir. KD, well played.
DrFishfinder Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm guessing Jack Daniels had a lot to do with this. Jose Cuervo would have been a lot more civil.

Speaking of big-mouthed Internet tough guys... Simon, Simon, Simon...can't tell if you're joking or serious - or just drunk out of your mind - on this one, since it's so freakin' obvious to all with eyes that, as a NFL QB at least, Trent Edwards is a boy amongst men. That the pu$$y has been able to play a complete season w/out injury only once since high school speaks volumes toward the guy's physical toughness, or lack thereof. Fact is, Fanning-Fan Edwards IS a pu$$y. Period. Incontrovertible statement of fact. Hic finis est. Don't think so? Then grab that bottle again and pour yourself another double shot of belligerence, while you tell me where the giant, life-threatening 'killshot' was coming from on this throw... link I didn't see anyone getting ready to smash poor little Trentie's face in - all I saw was just a Dick Jauron brown-nosin' freakin' pantywaist who - with all the time in the world, knowing exactly what spot to throw to, and with absolutely no possibility of being hit or intercepted - can't toss a little round pill 60 feet with any zip or accuracy, with no one bearing down on him at all. I'm actually embarrassed to see that Nancy-boy wearing a Bills uniform. Fanning-Fan Edwards = One Crappy Freakin' QB. Quod erat demonstrandum.
BarkLessWagMore Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 oops hahahahahahhahahaha!!! Now that made me laugh. I'm reading that original post with a WTF look on my face and then this response from the OP. Brilliant Simon. Thanks for the yuks.
BarkLessWagMore Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Wait a minute, was this just a trap to lure the Senator back to the board? Again, brilliant Simon, and welcome back Senator. The board's definitely more interesting when you're around.
bkc Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Trent has not been the same qb since the Arizons game. Does that make him a kitty, no. However he does seem somewhat shell shocked. That said , by default he will be the starting qb week 1, if Nix can somehow fix the oline he will get one more legit chance to turn it on.

Hmm. ???? Are you no longer a moderator? I don't think Trent is a "pu$$y" at all. He was proven to be willing to take hits and come back. He takes a beating playing behind a sub-standard line as you correctly state. Jauron and all of his OC's ran a plain vanilla Mickey Mouse offense. Chan Gailey is here and he was hired for his ability to run offenses and develop QBs. Trent will get another chance and I hope he can raise him game from last year were he lost his job to a less talented player in Fitzpatrick. Where I question Trent is in the leadership department. He appears to be a bit distant with his team mates. Some of the things he says make me think he does not have the same passion as the top tier QBs in the league. The Bills rallied around Fitz last year and they made more plays with him in the game. The coach, and the interim coach both felt that Fitz gave them a better chance of winning. These things make me wonder about Trent's confidence and leadership much more than whether he is tough enough. I sure hope Trent takes the next step and becomes a top QB in this league.
first_and_ten Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 nice. but i think you broke several rules in regards to style and formality. please, i beg you, leave the drunken rants to the pros, 'cause we know how to do 'em. see, i'd suggest using phrases such as "crooked pipes," as in:the time's now to bring out the crooked pipes and hail unmerciful jesus crank shots at any glenn beck stool who just might be foolish enough to disagree. and i'd stray away from the pu$$y stuff. it's a little too cute and mundane. "internet muscles," i like, but i would'a have them flexing their limp noodled internet muscles. and the whole cumstain thing's a little overboard. snotnosed, porn-surfing, yellow-bellied, nut-jobs with far too much time on their swollen sticky-fingered raw-rubbed meat-hooks, might have been better. but, really, what's your point? jw ADD: Really, what's your point?
