ExiledInIllinois Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Years ago (over 20)... My father had a scanner (I think he picked it up from my aunt or something... Not sure why he had it?) and it came in handy. I was in a car wreck and he actually picked up the police call... They used my name during a transmission. The funny thing is... My father was in the bathroom and almost fell off the toilet... Don't worry, I was okay.. Just some simple stitches. I do see where it can be pretty addictive. I always eavesdrop at work on the VHF-FM (marine band) and see what the USCG is up too!
