N.Y. Orangeman Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Insider Draft Blog LeFevour picked a bad day to underperform "This year's quarterback class is not a deep one, and LeFevour missed a big chance to improve his mid-round stock. He was a productive, athletic quarterback in the spread system, but his struggles with pro-style drops and throws have his stock sliding a bit. In fact, Troy QB Levi Brown has impressed us during film study and could make a push to move ahead of LeFevour in that mid-round group."

I would take either one that Nix likes better in the 3rd to the 5th round. No thanks Clausen or McNabb.
reddogblitz Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 I thought Levi Brown looked really good in that Bowl game vs LeFevour. I'd take him.
Geno Smith's Arm Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 why don't they just wait to see who is left in the 7th or undrafted. Or maybe bring in a bunch supermarket baggers.
SawchukBills Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I would take either one that Nix likes better in the 3rd to the 5th round. No thanks Clausen or McNabb. 3rd = no thank you 4th = who else is there? 5th = sure why not, if all the other mid-round QBs are gone
Rayzer32 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Just look at my avatar. I was hoping the Bills draft this kid months ago. He is a true gunslinger.
High Mark Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Cannot say I am suprised by this at all. Well I guess I am in a sense that his stock inherently had to be high, in order for it to fall, right? Just look at my avatar. I was hoping the Bills draft this kid months ago. He is a true gunslinger. He was clearly the better NFL prospect in the bowl game Wrong Brown. Take Jarett Brown Agreed 4th round for sure, 3rd round more realistic. PS who exactly is that a quote from?
H2o Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Mid Major + "Ehhhhh" Pro Day = 5th-7th Round selection.
mousetrap08 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 If the Bills would take a QB in the later rounds, say the 6 or 7th Rd. what about John Skelton.
mob16151 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 If the Bills would take a QB in the later rounds, say the 6 or 7th Rd. what about John Skelton. If John Skeltons still on the board at the end of the 4th round i'll eat your hat.
reddogblitz Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Just look at my avatar. I was hoping the Bills draft this kid months ago. He is a true gunslinger. I was very impressed with Bad, Bad, Levi Brown when I saw him in that Bowl game vs. CMU. I'd be happy if the Bills got him. I think he could be good. Did he operate out of the shotgun exclusively like LeFevour and Pike and Tebow? Seemed he did some under center stuff in that game, but it was a long time ago and I don't really remember
mob16151 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I'm pretty sure Troy runs primarily a spread IIRC, but there was some plays under center as well.
reddogblitz Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I'm pretty sure CMU runs primarily a spread IIRC, but there was some plays under center as well. Right. But I was wondering about Troy.
mob16151 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Right. But I was wondering about Troy. My bad I meant to say troy there. Now I gotta go back and edit. lol
reddogblitz Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 My bad I meant to say troy there. Now I gotta go back and edit. lol Seems like it. Only highlights I've been able to dig up all show him in shotgun.
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I'm pretty sure Troy runs primarily a spread IIRC, but there was some plays under center as well. That could work. Chan Gailey had some success in K.C. with Thigpen using a spread-offense that the QB was familiar with. "Gailey was able to take an offense that had been outscored 179-61 in their first seven games and turn them around, scrapping the ineffective and ill-suited ball-control offense for a spread variant to utilize Thigpen's strengths and familiarity to the system." http://bleacherreport.com/articles/329246-...ds-to-the-bills
John Cocktosten Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Looks like the scouts finally got around to his tape from the Arizona and BC games from this year. Turns out he wasn't the same guy who tore apart the MAC when he had to play with the big boys.
DarthICE Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 The guy never was that good. A handful of fans here saw a couple games, looked at his size while never really seeing the guy for a solid amount of time. VERY weak arm for his size and not accurate at all.
