So, was sent this today, as my kids have an ITouch, but not Iphone, hence no cell service. But this app can turn their Itouch into a cell phone for just a small fee every month. Its good for me as both my wife and I have corporate phones, and as such would pay full boat for the kids to have cell service.

Either way, would hate to be the CEO of a cell service provider with stuff like this coming down the pike.

Great idea. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this. My kids rarely speak on the phone...it's all texting - so that part of it wouldn't work for me. But, it appears it's in the works - from the linked article "You can't get or send text messages on your Line2 line. (The company says it will fix all this soon.)" Then I'd be more interested.

I know absolutely nothing about iTouches. Do those things actually have a built in microphone or would the user have to use a headset for it to act as a phone?

Apparently, this was a little detail was left out o that article. Daughter informed me yesterday that the model she and boy own do not have microphones, but the upgraded ones do..I think the upgraded ones have more memory.
