RayFinkle
Judging by this pic, I understand why Seattle gave up so much to get him. Hell, I might have given up a first.

CarolinaBill
I thought the NFL GMs might have learned from our Rob Johnson ordeal. All I can say is: Ha-Ha!! (done in the Simpsons bully kid voice) nelson was his name

1B4IDie
Yes he has long hair but how are his abs? You have got to have good abs to be a Jesus look-a-like. The Bills traded a 1st round pick (Fred Taylor) for Rob Johnson. This deal is no where near the kind of draft impact or financial commitment by the organization. 2 years 10 million is really not a large outlay for a QB. They are switching 2nd round picks (2.06 - 2.26) and Seattle is throwing in an extra 3rd round in 2011. Its a nice deal for San Diego but its no where near the stupid Rob Johnson move that set the Bills back a decade. Imagine if you had Flutie starting with Fred Taylor and an aging Thurman. (Yeah I know its unlikely they would have taken a RB, and yes there were no other highly regarded QBs beside Manning and Leaf but that trade killed the franchise. Don't forget that Rob Johnson ended Thurman's career early. He threw a dump off to Thurman in the flat 3 feet over his head. Thurman jumped and fully extended to get it. Exposing the area where most players don't have much padding. An Indy LB buried him, caused rib damage and a lacerated kidney. Thurman never contributed significantly after that. Rob Johnson couldn't even dump off the ball properly there was no real reason to over throw Thurman on that play. )

It was FLUTIE who threw the pass at the beginning of the game on opening day against Indy on 9/12/99. Johnson didn't play until week 3 of the season in a blowout of the Eagles when he came in to mop up & got injured (big surprise there)
