pm73 Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 We all know that JP is our 1st round pick this year. Whether he ends up being a top 10 pick or not is still yet to be determined. I'm excited about the guy and think that it was a good move to grab our QB of the future a year early. I just hope we don't end up giving up a top 10 pick to do it. That could make me nauseous. If we end up sending a pick anywhere after 15 to dallas, I'll be able to sleep. Where does that pick have to be to make you comfortable with the move???
Thailog80 Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 It won't be a top ten, 15-20 range I believe. Bottom line is we have to keep winning to spite Dallas.
John in VA Beach Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 I think were a middle of the pack team too. However, for me any pick outside a top 5 justifies JP. With the shortage of QBs in this years draft, no way would we have finished bad enough to get a star on the rise. Bottom line, IMO Donahoe made the right move last year.

Anything over 15 is good with me. For a while there, it looked like Dallas was going to get rich off of us, but now, it looks like there own #1 is going to be the higher of the two.
RkFast Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 The "worth" of the Losman pick is not where it winds up in Dallas' hands. It sits with how he performs as a QB for the Buffalo Bills.

Brandon Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 As others have said, ultimately, it all depends upon how JP Losman plays. If he becomes a Pro Bowl caliber QB, I don't care if it ends up being the #1 pick. It would also seem to be a necessary step to compare Losman to the Qb class this year.
daquixers Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Well, going into LAST WEEK we had tied for the 6th pick in the draft http://www.profootballcentral.com/draft/draft_order.htm
