Nanker Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 And some people think Haliburton is just plain evil.
IDBillzFan Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Screw Russia. We're going to be green! GREEN, dammit!
Alaska Darin Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I just don't get why this country is an "all or nothing". Why can't we drill for oil WHILE we explore replacement technology? Oh wait. That makes sense. Thanks to all you !@#$ing idiots who keep voting for these !@#$ing idiots.
GG Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 So if understand this right, we are not going to use best in the world US technology to extract the most effective BTU fuel, raise our energy costs, contribute more to the budget deficits, increase our reliance on very unstable and unfriendly regimes, open a wide door for those regimes to establish a bigger footing in the western hemisphere because of a blind faith belief in a scientifically unproven theory?
DC Tom Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The headline is "Obama surrenders gulf oil to Moscow." The story is: Russia and Cuba sign an agreement for Russian oil companies to explore for oil in Cuba's economic zone. Nice, responsible reporting there. Apparently, Obama Derangement Syndrome is just as real and prevalent as Bush Derangement Syndrome was.

DC Tom Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Like this? Actually, completely unlike that. That's hyperbole. Not an outright lie.

Correct. Meanwhile we have the existing technology to build automobiles that use little oil based fuel that would serve the driving habits of about 50% of the population. All we need are policies that facilitate a competitor to gasoline. http://news.muckety.com/2008/08/06/anne-ko...-crude-oil/4442
