Dante Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 You wouldnt be calling for heads IF we started 0-4 next year?? ARe YOU kidding me? What kind of fan are you to accept 0-4 and NOt say anything about it! You got blinders on my friend! Quit hating on Drew and wake up to the world that we live in! The world that sees its our O-line, dosent matter what QB is behind it! Look at this year how we started and how people reacted!!! 135111 If we went 0-4 next season there is definitely a problem. Who knows what the problem will be at that point. If its because of Losman but he is improving every game and shows above average talent, I say keep him as the starter. And you ask me what type of Bills fan I am? Im the type that puts the teams good ahead of any single players. Namely Bledsoe. I would not have a wink link with no potential on my team just because I like him or he is a nice guy. Lots of nice people get fired from their jobs every day. Doesnt mean they arent nice it just means they are incompetent. I guess thats the heart of the disagreement here. Some see Drew as a qb that has the abitlity to win. I dont, but that is just my opinion based on what I have seen in him the last couple seasons. Its not just a bad couple games anymore its a bad couple seasons. For me, enough is enough. Cut bait or whatever but lets not keep repeating the same mistake over and over. Lets get on with the future. Not necessarily this game but in the very very near future.
TigerJ Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 If the Bills are winning they won't and shouldn't yank Bledsoe. Losman still needs reps in practice to raise his comfort level with the offence to the point where he won't be a huge liability. I wouldn't mind Losman coming in at garbage time with a list 6-8 plays that he's reasonably comfortable with. Once Buffalo is officiall out of the playoff hunt, and Losman is fairly comfortable with the offence, then I wouldn't mind Buffalo playing him more so they can better evaluate his ability to be a starter in this league.
John from Riverside Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 It apparently will be a gameday decision whether he is the #2 or not. A lot may be going on here to keep JP working hard on getting ready. One theory (and it is all theories in terms of development of JP, is that he was given the mop-up suicide mission in the dregs of the NE game to forceably give him the Billy Joe Hobert lesson that a player must be prepared to play anytime he puts the uniform on. I hope this was not a necessary message for him to receive and that he has put his "time-off" to injury to good use and gone up into the booth and learned NFL offenses and defenses better and that Sam Wyche was his constant companion as he soaked in that knowledge. ICE and others are simply wrong that playing is the ONLY way for JP to get better. He needs to both play and to learn the NFL way and to iron out any mechanical issues that would interfere with him developing good chemistry with Evans and others. JP must play, but not until he is ready. He gave the message after the NE debacle when he said stated now he will take things seriously that he had a few things to learn before he is ready to play well, contribute and learn. 135090 "Ice and others are simply wrong" I hate to point this out in a 100 words or less.....but Ice and others could actually be right that the only way to get him ready to play would be to actually play him... Unless you are subscribing to the "save him for 2006" theory....which in my opinion would be DISASTER for the bills.....but that is just my opinon
