I got the chance to meet him two years in a row in Canton (01 & 02) when I went down for Levy's and Kelly's inductions. He always spent time with fans signing autographs and talking. It is almost always caused by exposure to asbestos. Don't know, but...asbestos is a mineral. Perhaps it was common where he grew up. Perhaps dad was a fire fighter, ship builder, construction worker.
