1billsfan Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 http://www.gbnreport.com/ "Star Alabama MLB Rolando McClain stunned the pro scouting fraternity when he disclosed after he became ill during the Tide’s pro day today that he has had Crohn's Disease, an inflammatory intestinal condition, since his freshman year in high school. McClain reportedly treats the condition with medication and obviously has been able to play with it a very high level to date, however, its certain to be a major red flag for pro teams heading into the 2010 draft at which McClain had been rated as a top 10-15 prospect."
SawchukBills Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Maybe he slips to us in the 2nd round! haha I doubt this changes his draft stock drastically...after all he's been living with it for 8 years and playing high-level football.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 A good friend of mine has Crohn's Disease...as long as you manage it and watch what you are eating, it's very easy to control. All that means is McClain can't eat any wings if he gets drafted here!
dgrid Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 All that means is McClain can't eat any wings if he gets drafted here! torture! and he couldn't hang w/ Cody. prob used to that already tho

BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 If not managed properly Crohn's can be very debilitating with severe weight loss. I would say, considering McClain's production in college, that he is managing it fairly well.
