billsfreak Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 African Americans dominant the U.S., from our music, to the sports we play, and now we are starting to dominant politics. This makes cacucasians very nervous because of the oppression that they continue today. This is why writers like King have a double standard, because if everything was equal between the races, blacks would dominant everything! One day the chicken will come home to roost, i hope the racists out there will one day learn they're lesson! From reading your post, I would have to wonder if you are one of "Those Racists out there" you speak of.
billsfreak Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Yeah every pro athlete is an angel and has never tried to push himself on a woman I am sure several have, but probably even more have been falsely accused because of the common knowledge of their large bank accounts.
billsfreak Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Evert thing is about racism with some people. It's like the Salem witch trials. Exactly. I am surprised that people don't scream racism when a Scratch-Off lottery ticket isn't a winner.
bills in va Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Not suprisingly espn/espnradio is not really reporting this story or trying to downplay it. If he was black, ESPN/ESPN Radio, along with Nancy Grace and others, would have him tried and convicted by now. Two-Time Super Bowl winner accused of rape for the 2nd time!!! WTF!! If he was black - espn and other networks, would break into coverage of whatever is being showing on all their networks - and talk about nothing but this for the next year. I really wish all people of color would stop bit---ng about racism. It has been part of society since societies have existed and will be here forever. Racism goes both ways and anyone who can't admit that is ignorant. It is natural and logical that people surround themselves with others that are likeminded and likecolored. YOU HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT! What more do you want!
rockpile Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 He wants to keep his sponsors. There is a clear double standard in sports based on race. Why do people have such a hard time admitting it.Why does Tiger have to apologize on TV for marital problems. How many white golfers have done this...I'm sure some of them have had marital issues. Kobe was slammed due to his Denver outing..maybe rightly so. Roger Clements lied to the grand jury no problem. Mark McGwire lies by not telling the truth...no problem. There were eyewitnesses in both cases. Barry Bonds gets indicted without the same amount of evidence and faces jail time. They just can't find an eyewitness unlike McGwire and Clements. In Ben's defense until charges are pressed these are mere allegations thet anyone can make like the Duke lacrosse team. People do play on perception and history. Until charges are pressed I won't take it to serious. It would be even bigger news if he was named Favre or Brady. As more information becomes available, it may go away or it will be 'reported to death' on every media outlet.

You sure don't come out to watch the teams play in ANY sport. Take the whites out of the crowds and nobody would have a franshise because the leagues would go broke. You do dominate the jails though... Your a jackass

offsides#76FredSmerlas Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 If we chose to not play you would have no sports! How do you figure? That makes no sense. Kind of like your opening statement... Hey if you keep crying enough you'll one day have the majority of coaches being black in the NFL too. Crazy that we have to have a Rooney rule. Let the best guy get a job black or white...
BamaBills Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 So Ben admits something happen - Just no intercourse. According to him the girl bumped her head. Seriously folks - if your engaged in some type of sex act - and right after the other party goes to the hospital with an injury and then the police - acting hysterical. You would be arrested. certainly not allowed to leave the state.

Guffalo Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Black or white, he is still going to see some trouble this time, good points by this writer
Lori Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Wowwww. A longtime Pittsburgh sportscaster drops the hammer: http://justwatchthegame.com/blog/just-watch-the-game-blog First of all, none of this surprises me. Ben is a bad citizen. He doesn’t know how to treat people and he definitely doesn’t know how to handle being the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In my more than 30 years of working in the Pittsburgh sports media, I have never had any player come close to generating as many unsolicited questions from fans as Roethlisberger has. They want to know why he’s such a jackass. And these aren’t just Steelers fans who got turned down for an autograph. It’s men and women from all walks of life. Most of the accounts of the incident in Georgia mention that Ben wasn’t drinking much. The implication being that he wasn’t high. Let me be the first to point out that he could very easily have been high on something other than alcohol. If that turns out to be the case, will you be surprised?
Frit0 Bandit0 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 These threads on the stadium wall are going down hill Some stupid !@#$ing poll about some kook's view of racism belongs somewhere else.
The_Philster Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 people who scream racism are usually the biggest racists themselves While it's true that racism does still exist, it's not anywhere near the factor that some fools want to claim it is
Mr. WEO Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Wowwww. A longtime Pittsburgh sportscaster drops the hammer: http://justwatchthegame.com/blog/just-watch-the-game-blog Wow. Seems like someone wasn't getting enough love from Big Ben. Why would a guy like this chose a time like this to unload on BR? Why not do it during the season or, even better, immediately after he won his second SB? Oh, that's right, because now it's easy and this sportscaster sounds like a huge puzzy. And he's just throwing there out his sudden, yet also long-held suspicion that BR takes drugs too? The hilarious self-importance oozing from that bit of hysterical b*tchiness is....."precious".

And what factual evidence do you have to support this other than your blatant paranoia? Please describe a similarly situated black athlete who was treated in a more abrasive manner than Ben?
Billsfan=pain Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 And what factual evidence do you have to support this other than your blatant paranoia? Please describe a similarly situated black athlete who was treated in a more abrasive manner than Ben? Tiger Wood, and he didn't rape anyone!

Keep in mind, we're talking about the same sportscaster who thinks it's perfectly normal to joke about Hobey Baker's death while calling a hockey game. Controversy tends to follow this guy around.
RyanC883 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Tiger Wood, and he didn't rape anyone! First of all, the situations are hardly comparable as Tiger's story began with his wife chasing him with a golf club and smashing up his car. (IF Ben's wife, if he had one, had chased him with a golf club I guarantee you the story would be much bigger). (Indeed, there was a TON of coverage about his motorcycle accident). Not only that, Tiger admitted to having affairs with 14 women. Thus, the number of parties involved makes Tiger's story bigger as there are many more angles to analyze it from. Finally, Tiger got solid treatment from the media including great articles written about him by ESPN and CNNSI columnists. There were a number of stories instructing people to leave him alone while he and his family dealt with the problems caused by his actions. Of course, some columnists were critical of his actions, but a number of columnists have been equally critical of Ben's actions.
