bkc Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I guess it wasn't just the weather for shanahan Peppers-to-Redskins rumors go to full boil Posted by Mike Florio on March 4, 2010 10:22 PM ET Less than two hours until the start of free agency, rumors are flying that the Washington Redskins will soon be signing defensive end Julius Peppers. The thinking had been that, if the Redskins decide they want Peppers, they'll get Peppers. It just wasn't clear whether the Redskins want Peppers. Our pal Lance Zierlein of KGOW in Houston has reported, via Twitter, that the Redskins will come "charging hard" after Peppers and that he expects a deal to be done by tomorrow. Last year, Zierlein reported that the Redskins would land defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth days before it happened. And we're hearing that the situation has progressed well beyond the Redskins "charging hard." We're hearing it's essentially done -- and that barring an unexpected development the only question is whether the deal will be announced before or after the sun rises in D.C. That's bad news for the Bears, who had planned to make a strong push for Peppers.

manbeast Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Haynesworth, and now Peppers. That's a defensive line. Almost as nasty as Edwards,Williams, Williams, Allen.
apuszczalowski Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Almost as nasty as Edwards,Williams, Williams, Allen. Isn't that a Law firm? He should just tear up the league like Haynesworth did when he joined the Skins
San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Haynesworth, and now Peppers. That's a defensive line. They said the same thing when the Redskins signed free agent Dana Stubblefield to go along with Dan "Big Daddy" Wilkinson as bonus baby D-linemen. I'll wait to see if these two sometimes underachieving players actually play up to their potentials together.
MattyT Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Shefter reporting that Peppers deal w/Chicago all but done.
Russ 'Em Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Schefter reporting that Peppers and Chicago will come to a deal tomorrow.
Bufcomments Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Peppers and Tommy Harris and Urlacker, sounds good on paper
MattyT Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Peppers and Tommy Harris and Urlacker, sounds good on paper Till two of them get hurt and the other takes 50% of the plays off.
nucci Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Haynesworth, and now Peppers. That's a defensive line. Haynesworth became very lazy once he got the big contract. A lot of these guys lose their motivation once they get the big money.
BYGD1 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Haynesworth, and now Peppers. That's a defensive line. Which my self implode because you spend big $$$ does not give you anything more then hope, How many Super Bowls has Snyder won anyway LOL
