FightClub Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 With Pennington returning, Henne the starter, and Pat White already in place, there's no room for Thigpen. Maybe this Pennington move is a precursor to a Thigpen trade to the Bills? PFT says Pennington coming back to Dolphins
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 They are not going to trade within the division Agreed. You may see Thigpen released now, but it wont be until training camp. The Bills cant wait that long to find a QB.
Red Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 When he becomes available, I think the Bills should pounce on him.
notoriousdln Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 i think thigpen would be a good fit in buffalo but not a great fit....im from myrtle beach..where he went to college...and hes kind of a celebrity down here....id be happy...but not ecstatic
FightClub Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Yipee, another backup QB might be available. He's a better prospect than any QB in this draft except maybe Bradford, and only a couple of years older.
notoriousdln Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 in my perfect world brohm would blow up training camp and TE would be a good #2...we all know that wont happen...we just have too many holes to fill this year unless bradford or clausen is there at 9. i think were better off taking a lefavour or a pike and let em learn for a year
Pete Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 He's a better prospect than any QB in this draft except maybe Bradford, and only a couple of years older. I agree. And I think he might even be better then Bradford
RayFinkle Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 He's a better prospect than any QB in this draft except maybe Bradford, and only a couple of years older. Oh boy....
1billsfan Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 We already have Tyler Thigpen on the roster, his name is Ryan Fitzpatrick. Seriously, these two QBs are basically one and the same, decent backups but definitely not starting material. I say either pass, or if you do go out and get Thigpen then release Fitzpatrick. We don't need two guys here who have plateaued as bench warming QBs.
BufflaloBeastMode23 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 NOOOOOOOO WAY...tyler pigpen is the equivalent to broom i mean brohm...i'll pass on both those pine warmer...just wait for the right moment to get super 7 THAT TRADE WILL HAPPEN...
bkc Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Clearly they won't keep 4 qb's . As for trading in division , if you make them a good offer they would take it . That said what are you really ready to give up for him ?

reddogblitz Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 i think were better off taking a lefavour or a pike and let em learn for a year Please no. Why can't we just improve the QB position? There are or will be QBs available who could do just that. I'm not ready to sacrifice another season (going on 6 in a row) at the alter of the "franchise" QB who just needs 3 or 4 years to develop. Or else maybe he'll suck and we'll be in the same boat a few years from now. when do we actually try to win? 2015? I'm just not sure Tyler Pigpen is the man. If we want him, just wait for the Fish to cut him. Or if they cut one of those other guys instead, pick him up.
