Adam Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I don't care what he says. It's what Obama is doing that's atrocious. Everyone but a select few on this board knows it. He is an attrocious situation- and I am not saying because of Bush (who was in a bad situation too). You try to do the right thing and try to keep power. Usually in our country, the latter gets more attention. Hate to say it, but facts are facts.
KD in CA Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Capitalism at its finest How do you get capitalism out of bribing public officials?
Adam Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 How do you get capitalism out of bribing public officials? Sarcastically and very carefully
/dev/null Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 The GOP already HAS provided some very good, viable option and ideas. And they DID show them to the nation on CSPAN just last week. And this act just proves that Obama is willing to accept Republican ideas Obama is from DC. The Congressman is from Utah Obama is just buying Health Care across state lines
/dev/null Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I keep saying it, he's a die-hard populist. Not the same thing as a socialist - even "social democrat" is a reach, in my opinion. What about Statist?
Adam Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 And this act just proves that Obama is willing to accept Republican ideas Obama is from DC. The Congressman is from Utah Obama is just buying Health Care across state lines As President, he basically has to, just as Bush had to accept some democratic ideas. If you don't you are just banging your head against a wall.
DC Tom Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 As President, he basically has to, just as Bush had to accept some democratic ideas. If you don't you are just banging your head against a wall. I'd rather they accepted and rejected ideas based on their merits and not party affiliation...but that's just me, I guess.
/dev/null Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 As President, he basically has to, just as Bush had to accept some democratic ideas. If you don't you are just banging your head against a wall. You totally missed the buying across state lines sarcasm
Dante Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 I keep saying it, he's a die-hard populist. Not the same thing as a socialist - even "social democrat" is a reach, in my opinion. Whatever "ist" or "ism" is correct in your mind go with it. All I want is the government out of my face and bank account. But they won't because government is a self serving industry in its own right. The more they make citizens depend on them, the more important they are. And thats how they want it. They are a necessary evil and should operate as such. That would mean minimal size. Unobtrusive as possible. Running lean. Think as our country as a huge business entity and the government is your front office staff. An expense that you keep small. If they really cared about the good of the country and economy they would operate that way. Not that many of the admins in the last 20 years or so did us any favors. But this (*^*&%^$^#and his cronies are off the charts. So I don't know what ism this schmuck is. All I know is he is as destructive to this country as they come. The Soviets in the cold war couldn't do a better job in submarining us.
