Is he angry or happy when he tells you that? If he truly believes he will be swiped up in the rapture he should be ecstatic!! Somehow I doubt he is.

That would be amusing if it wasn't so damn scary. There are fundamentalists out there who not only accept the rapture scenario, they would actually hasten it.

There are some real whack jobs out there like the folks raising money to send Russian/East European Jews to live in Israel so all the Jews are back in the Holy Land, which is supposed to fulfill some prophecy heralding the return of Christ

The giant mechanical tripods that the Martians planted deep in the Earth are starting to activate.

Great.

Does this mean we're in for another barrage of Dakota Fanning screaming incessantly? (her screeching throughout that movie was one of many reasons why that movie was completely unwatchable)

The following table lists the frequency of earthquakes worldwide, according to magnitude and annual average.

Descriptor Magnitude Annual average

Great 8 or higher 11

Major 7–7.9 172

Strong 6–6.9 1342

Moderate 5–5.9 1,3192

Light 4–4.9 c. 13,000

Minor 3–3.9 c. 130,000

Very minor 2–2.9 c. 1,300,000

1. Based on observations since 1900. 2. Based on observations since 1990. NOTE: The NEIC estimates that several million earthquakes occur in the world each year. Many go undetected because they hit remote areas or have very small magnitudes.

You forgot flu pandemic, asteroids, global cooling/warming, supervolcano, death of bees, mad cow disease...each of these has had its day and then passed. Today it's earthquake.

:wallbash::wallbash:

Asian carp too... You forgot the dreaded Asian carp in the Great Lakes! Even know they have NOT found any yet. Sneaky little bastards! The lastest excuse why they can't find one? Because they are "hard to catch even when there are a lot of them." Exact quote... :wallbash::worthy:

You think that's far-fetched? Some punk I know keeps saying it's the beginning of the Christian apocalypse. I think he cites one verse in the book of Matthew. Of course, he ignores the surrounding verses that predict all sorts of other "signs." :wallbash:

Matthew 24: 6-7.....not so far-fetched, my friend. :wallbash:
