Try another game. Then wipe down the bottom of the CD and see if that works.

/dev/null Posted November 25, 2004 Author Posted November 25, 2004 Clean the PS2 laser..... not that hard: google it.....UNDERSTANDING DVD/DVDR ISSUES 133437[/snapback] tried that. also tried adjusting the gear that controls how far the laser is from the disc. went as far as +-10 notches from where it was when i opened it what happened was i got the error yesterday speeding along on one of the trucking missions after not saving for awhile. got pissed off, replayed everything and saved right before the mission that it crapped out on. now the game loads up just fine, but when i leave my safe house in angel pine i get the error. i do have a saved game, but at about 40% competion less i was up to the CJs mansion bit, but this saved game is back in san fierro
CosmicBills Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Also, try turning your PS2 upside down and starting it (leave it that way as you play too). That works for me sometimes.
