I could not disagree more....he was a soft player that only played on occasions.....

Well, you seem very dedicated to your incorrect opinion, so we'll just have to agree to disagree. <_<

Works hard on the ice, skates and handles the puck reasonably well. He was never going to be a superstar, but he's a reasonably solid and dependable player, the kind you need when you're building a team (Bills, take note).

MacArthur was a waste of space. The problem with the Sabres is that they have an abundance forwards who all "work hard" and have a "good attitude" and are "dependable." They are also all unproductive. MacArthur has had plenty of time to prove what he is...I realize he was still a young man, but eventually you have a large enough sample size of games to stop looking at a player for what you hope he will become, and just accept him for what he is. In 10 years, he will be Matt Ellis...He will not be missed. Especially considering that Buffalo has two 5'-5" forwards in the minors who can come up and "work hard" and "skate well" and also likely be unproductive.

Know nothing about Torres, though...giving up Paetsch for him seems something of a no-brainer. (Hell, as well-stocked as the Sabres are with defensemen, trading Paetsch for a box of Ho-Hos is a no-brainer.)

Paetsch was just a throw in. The pick is what we actually gave up there. I'm totally convinced that it was a case of Darcy saying "hey, why don't you take Paetsch too".

RPI does suck. Go Clarkson!

Monster season for them this year. <_<
