Hazed and Amuzed Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 This board is full of just as many movie buffs as Bills fans or at least so it seems. Here's the spin on this thread... What actors that don't receive top billing intrigue you enough to make you watch a movie? For instance you go to buy a DVD and it looks interesting so you turn it over and notice Christopher Walken has a part in it, so you give it a shot. My initial draft(more will follow) Christopher Walken Jeff Goldblum Harold Ramis Tilda Swinton George Carlin Jenna Fischer John C. Reilly Tim Roth Milla Jovovich Jeremy Davies Donal Louge Michael Madson I know I have more but I'll wait a bit and stew on it.
MattyT Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Looking at your list, I'm not sure "obscure" is the word you were looking for in this case.
KD in CA Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Steve Buscemi Looking at your list, I'm not sure "obscure" is the word you were looking for in this case. Agreed. Looks more like "non-A list" actors.

Hazed and Amuzed Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Steve Buscemi Agreed. Looks more like "non-A list" actors. That works too.
WellDressed Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 eddie coyle Philip Baker Hall Sydney Greenstreet Alison Lohman Ricky Jay George Sanders Anthony Wong Chau-Sang Hugh Marlowe Tom Sizemore, round Robbery Homicide Division time. Now, not so much.
bbb Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 eddie coylePhilip Baker Hall Sydney Greenstreet Alison Lohman Ricky Jay George Sanders Anthony Wong Chau-Sang Hugh Marlowe Now this is obscure! I never heard of one of these guys. I think maybe Philip Baker Hall was like a big guy in something called Walking Tall or something like that..........And, I could be totally off on him, too.
The Poojer Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 these were two that immediately came to mind for me..william h. macy isn't really obscure but he is another favorite of mine as is steve buscemi...all 4 of these add a great deal to anything they are in Crispin GloverJK Simmons

Now, not so much. ah, George Sanders. I used to have an unhealthy obsession with his brother, Tom Conway--the king of Val Lewton productions. Sydney Greenstreet was amazing too. The greatest laugh in film. Can't go wrong with Ricky Jay either. My favorite interpreter of Mamet's writing. I'm going to add Chris Eigeman and Eddie Constantine to my list

I think maybe Philip Baker Hall was like a big guy in something called Walking Tall or something like that..........And, I could be totally off on him, too. I threw in a few golden age actors. You know Hugh Marlowe, probably not by name.
Justice Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Barring one or two people, I'll go with the entire cast of Lost.
WellDressed Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 ah, George Sanders. I used to have an unhealthy obsession with his brother, Tom Conway--the king of Val Lewton productions. Sydney Greenstreet was amazing too. The greatest laugh in film. Can't go wrong with Ricky Jay either. My favorite interpreter of Mamet's writing. I'm going to add Chris Eigeman and Eddie Constantine to my list JK Simmons is the most versatile actor anyone has mentioned. Way, way, way, underrated.

Astrojanitor Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Eddie Constantine ......from Goddard, to A Long Good Friday...... a personal hero. In college I was in a hardcore punk band called Lemmy Caution. Needless to say I'm a fan
