PDaDdy
In today's Buffalo news there was an article about Kawika Mitchell getting health and playing on the inside in the 3 - 4. I found this quote from him very interesting. "I think we have to solidify our offensive line," he said. "Without that, we can't run the ball and the quarterback can't throw the ball. We've got a lot of specialists. We've got a lot of depth in the secondary. The most important part is the offensive and defensive line. If we don't have that, we don't have a chance. I think that goes for everything." -Kawika Mitchell He seems to feel, as I do of course, that Buffalo is really lacking in those areas and that should be where they focus! Thoner7
Look at the teams that have had success in the post season the last decade. They have dominant lines on both sides of the ball and a great QB 99% of the time. This team has been built arse backwards with DBs and punt returners getting priority over the Lines and QB. Its easy to see why we fail to compete.

Its easy to see why we fail to compete. No doubt. Other than last year we have REALLY ignored the offensive and defensive lines early in the draft. Last year BARELY even counts as far as that goes too. We got Aaron Maybin who never really played DL and now he will be moving to LB. Woods was a first round draft pick but he was really a down grade because we gave up a probowl LT to get him. He looked promising but he is a rookie G who will now be trying to come back from a serious injury. Levitre wasn't bad but it's still too early to tell. Free agency hasn't produced any impact players that I have seen for years. It's about time to get back to what makes a team. The trenches and a good QB. You really can't go to far without those. bananathumb
I hope they draft nothing but linemen and linebackers. That's what they need, not some iffy kid QB, not some contact-louthing WR and not some straightline-fast CB.

The great running games and great D's always turn average QBs into good QBs. The lack thereof turn average QBs into TE, JP, Fitz....
