Doc
I guess in a enviorment where everyone one else is insane, the sane guy seems like the one who is nuts. In the land of the... This also prevents the reversal of a 21% cut in Medicare reimbursements to doctors (interesting how that's not mentioned ANYWHERE). And as a result, more than a few docs are telling their Medicare patients "sorry can't afford to see you, talk to your congress person about it." 3rdnlng
Bunning voted for the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy without demanding offsetting budget cuts, and voted for funding the Iraq occupation without asking how it's going to be paid for. But now he sticks it to the unemployed and the furloughed constructions workers to score political points with conservatives. Hipocrisy. I wonder how the Senate pension he's going to collect is being paid for. Link?
IDBillzFan
Link? Don't hold your breath. They need a demon. The solution to the problem is very simply to do as Bunning asks; use $10 billion of the unused stimulus money to pay for this. See, the liberals will yell "Bunning is holding up unemployment bennies to hundreds of thousands" when an equal truth is that liberals are holding up unemployment bennies to hundreds of thousands because they refuse to (a) explain how we are going to pay for it or (b) why they can't use unused stimulus money. Bishop Hedd
Magox is right, no matter which way you look at it it was a stupendously idiotic move by Bunning for so many reasons. "Nads"?!? Wtf Potsie?! Is it really courageous for a lame duck senator who many in his home state consider mentally unbalanced to suddenly go crazy? Nah. This has got Republican party written all over it. They might have overreached...again. You think they would have learned after Newt. And at least newt had a majority.
Magox
On second thought, I'd like to flip flop my answer purely based on Hedd's agreement of my original statement.

Is it really courageous for a lame duck senator who many in his home state consider mentally unbalanced to suddenly go crazy? Yeah jackhole, nads. It's just too bad that everyone else is more concerned about keeping their seats than about playing by the rules that they themselves put in place. It's also to bad that most people are !@#$ing idiots (include yourself in this) and are going to react emotionally, rather than seeing it for what it is. Thanks for playing the mentally unbalanced card. That's new. If the Republicans had the majority and the Executive and Bunning was a dummycrat, you'd have to get treated for dehydration from all the jerking off in effigy you'd be doing. Nah. This has got Republican party written all over it. They might have overreached...again. You think they would have learned after Newt. Like it matters. The Dumbassacrats couldn't get dick passed with what was pretty much a super majority and an incompetent ideological buffoon who hasn't met a trillion dollars he couldn't waste holding the pen. We're totally screwed no matter which group of shills is in power.

"Waste of afterbirth"? Seriously? What are you, 10? Why the !@#$ would I care about his mental history? I didn't vote for him. It says a lot about your character that it's a central issue for you rather than the real issue, which is that your masters don't give a crap about the rules the "most ethical congress in history" put in place... Yeah, they're way different than the Republicans. Try doing background next time you ejaculate on your screen. Thanks for basically "tossing" the same insult back.
