tomdayfan
The suit OJ Simpson was wearing when he was acquitted of murder could end up on display at the Smithsonian Institution. This is a piece of American history? If the suit fits....

Steely Dan
I think it's a very important part of 20th Century American history. It was one of the biggest trials of the century. His story makes a huge statement about the 90's, JMO. I think the Smithsonian should have taken it.
KD in CA
The decision announced Tuesday comes a day after a judge approved the donation as the solution to a long court battle over the clothing. Smithsonian spokeswoman Linda St. Thomas says the suit is not appropriate for the museum's collection. The agreement reached Monday between Simpson, Fred Goldman and Simpson's former sports agent, Mike Gilbert, provided that if the Smithsonian turned it down, they would seek another museum or institution of higher learning. It was not immediately clear which entity would be offered the suit next. WTF?? "Long court battle" over the fate of a 15 year old suit?? Ridiculous.
