Billsfan=pain Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I watched tape of this man and he was a beast. I want the Bills to take him at #9. What do you think of him?
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 The only thing that would make the board implode more would be if the Bills drafted Tim Tebow at #9. Griffin would be a terrible top 10 pick. Not that I don't like Griffin as a player, just think it would be a huuuuuuge reach.
H2o Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Griffin has shown flashes, but I wouldn't pick the guy earlier than the 2nd Round. Some games he had a tendancy to disappear.

He is the most eplosive D-player in the draft IMO! If we get Griffin in the 2nd round I will give Buddy Nix a foot massage
Rubes Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Griffin has shown flashes, but I wouldn't pick the guy earlier than the 2nd Round. Some games he had a tendancy to disappear. Sounds like he fits our system perfectly!
Thurman#1 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 5, 4 and 7 sacks in his three years. He weighs in the 260s, so he can't play DE in a 3 - 4 because he's too small, and he's probably too large to be our pass rushing OLB, and with those relatively low sack totals, I wouldn't want him anyway. Where would he play for us, LB on the strong side? He's generally ranked below Derrick Morgan among DEs. I just don't see it.

He weighed in at 273lb at the combine, but I remember them saying his playing weight was about 280lb this year when they played ND. I think he could add some weight and be a solid 3-4 DE.
Billsfan=pain Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Please god, no! Not in a 3-4 He ran a 4.6 40. I think he would be a great 3-4 OLB! He played 4-3 in college!

I think he could add some weight and be a solid 3-4 DE. Now this is was an exceptional talent for sure, but Bruce Smith mostly played in the 260's and he was a pretty effective 3-4 DE. It can be done, but it takes a real talent to pull it off.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I watched tape of this man and he was a beast. I want the Bills to take him at #9.What do you think of him? What kind of video did you see him in? Game highlights? Combine highlights? Porn? He weighs in the 260s, so he can't play DE in a 3 - 4 because he's too small, and he's probably too large to be our pass rushing OLB, and with those relatively low sack totals, I wouldn't want him anyway. In fairness Thurman, both DeMarcus Ware and Shawne Merriman play at a listed 265 pounds. But I understand your concern.
Sisyphean Bills Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Take a page from Bills West? Jacoby Ford is fast.
Dr. Fong Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 He weighed in at 273lb at the combine, but I remember them saying his playing weight was about 280lb this year when they played ND. I think he could add some weight and be a solid 3-4 DE. In that case the Bills won't draft him. The Bills like their defensive ends to be more svelte and in the wide receiver weight range.

JPS Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 He'd have to be a lot more consistent to warrant #9. But I must say, he shows an awfully nice inside spin move to complement a powerful edge rush. Looks like he may be a player, but that's in the highlights. I want to know what he was doing on the plays that did not make youtube. Crap on Maybin next year. We know nothing about him yet.
Sisyphean Bills Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Check him out! He looks way better than Aaron "one trick pony" Maybin! So, being invisible is considered a trick. Good to know.
