bills_red Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Why does anyone care about 40 times? Especially for OL. no one, 10 and 20 is what i care about. but OAK loves 40s.
bills_red Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 i love how they keep the camera on the guy that finished and you miss the next guy, dumb fers.
aristocrat Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 didnt robert galley run like a 4.6? oakland took him and he bombed at tackle...turned it around as a guard though.
DarthICE Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Bruce Campell is some athlete! And Mayock and company are saying pass on him. Sure he 'looks' good but his actual play on the field isn't nearly as impressive.
JStranger76 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Hopefully the Raiders take him Darth pushing a good "football player" right into our laps.......
Thurman#1 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 didnt robert galley run like a 4.6? oakland took him and he bombed at tackle...turned it around as a guard though. 4.95, but your point remains. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/sto...&id=2776319 However, good times don't necessarily mean a bad player. Peters ran a 4.93, and he turned out awfully good. Trent Williams was real fast this year also, and he's for real.

bananathumb Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Trent Williams is an impressive athlete too. Ran a 4.88 and is extremely agile for a big man. Looks like at least five top OTs.
Gotta Dream Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Do the Bills go back on their word and pick someone that is only a one year wonder? From CBS Sportsline: Maryland OT Bruce Campbell dazzles in drills Characterized by some as the Vernon Davis of offensive tackles, Maryland's Bruce Campbell proved just as dazzling in Combine drills today as his fellow former Terp did in 2006. Campbell, who measured in at 6-6 1/2 and 316 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.85 seconds, according to NFL.com. The time was the fastest recorded by any offensive lineman tested Saturday. Campbell also lifted 225 pounds 34 times -- an especially impressive total considering his very long (36 1/2") arms. More important to scouts than Campbell's speed and explosive power, however, was how easily he moved in drills. Campbell has a very deep kick-step, showing good balance and the agility to slide laterally in "mirroring" his opponent. The eye-popping test results speak to what we've been saying about Campbell for months. In terms of potential, Bruce Campbell is the best tackle talent in this draft. With only 17 career starts, however, he remains a very raw prospect. Vernon Davis used his spectacular workout to leap into the top ten, ultimately being the sixth overall pick by the 49ers in 2006. Expect to see a team make a similarly aggressive move for Campbell based on his potential. The Raiders, who own the eighth pick, are a logical candidate due to their need for a left tackle and owner Al Davis' affinity for great athletes.
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 With only 17 career starts, however, he remains a very raw prospect. The thought I heard today on Sirius NFL was: if you have a pro-bowl left tackle who has maybe two good years left, then this is the guy you would draft. Sit him a year or two; he's a bit of a project.
