Revised projections now show that about 23,000 workers at and around Kennedy Space Center will lose their jobs because of the shuttles' retirement and the new proposal to cancel the development of new rockets and spacecraft.

 

Of course it's "healthcare" that's got the attention of Washington right now.

That's what's really important. People need expensive "free-to-me" healthcare, not jobs.

Of course jobs are a byproduct of evil capitalism. Everything that is wrong with the nation can be linked to people with jobs.

Just thinking out loud.

It would definitely be a very expensive, high risk attempt at extracting resources. Probably won't be developed for a very long time...

Please don't take this as a comment directed toward you, because I realize where that statement came from. But that is utter rubbish. How exactly will the US maintain it's leader status when we essentially have NO manned program, which is what the current plan details?
