DarthICE Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I wonder what it would take to go from 9 - 2 for a franchise QB? http://gridironfans.com/forums/latest-nfl-...wo-overall.html
It's in My Blood Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I wonder what it would take to go from 9 - 2 for a franchise QB? http://gridironfans.com/forums/latest-nfl-...wo-overall.html Theres not player in this draft worth the risk/investment of trading to the #2 spot , save Suh. If the Rams pass on him , then I would make the move , if not , I stay put.
bkc Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I wonder what it would take to go from 9 - 2 for a franchise QB? http://gridironfans.com/forums/latest-nfl-...wo-overall.html there is no franchise qb in this draft
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I'm all about the Bills drafting a QB, but not at the expense of multiple draft picks.
iinii Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 there is no franchise qb in this draft thank you
BillsVet Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 there is no franchise qb in this draft Forget it, he's rolling. The choices are a guy coming off shoulder surgery or someone who allegedly alienated his teammates. Maybe a late first, but definitely not top 10 material for either of them. Then again, QB's are always overdrafted.
Doc Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Schefter states unequivocally that the first overall pick, to the Rams, will be Stafford. He's about the closest thing to a franchise QB in this draft. Assuming his shoulder holds up, as docs expect it to. But moving-up from 9 to 2, for what looks to be a 4-3 DT, would be cost prohibitive and IMHO dumb, if they plan on going 3-4.

San Jose Bills Fan Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I wonder what it would take to go from 9 - 2 for a franchise QB? http://gridironfans.com/forums/latest-nfl-...wo-overall.html Here's the link for the Draft Trade Chart. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/draft...ft-trade-chart/ For the Bills to move from #9 to #2, they would need to compensate the Rams an additional 1250 points which is equivalent to the #11 pick (in other words, next year's first rounder and conditional additional compensation if the pick is lower than #11), or something along the lines of our 2nd round pick for two years in a row. Basically, to swap first rounders with St. Louis we would have to give up an additional first round pick or two 2nd round picks.

If we were a DT away from a playoff run then you might be able to consider that.

High Mark Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Suh could dominate as 3-4 end. In fact he may be end up being a better 5 tech than 3 tech. Guys is nastier than Seymour. O and as far as trading down, just offer them a 3rd or something and see if they bite. They may be that desperate and/or lookign simply to save the cash the #2 would take.
Nanker Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I wonder what it would take to go from 9 - 2 for a franchise QB? http://gridironfans.com/forums/latest-nfl-...wo-overall.html How 'bout some players for that pick? Whitner, Lynch, Yabouty and Rosco. That's two starters and two backups - and less $ for Detwat to be guaranteeing. Personally, I'd not pick Suh and not a QB at 2 either. Gerald McCoy would be my pick.

That's true, which is why the Lines are in need of players that can help them now. Offer a bunch of players and maybe a lower pick - a 4 or 5 this year. No way would I swap 1s with them. But there's going to be a house cleaning at OBD this year anyway, why not get the #1 DT and a fine LT this year. We need Buddy-kind-of-guys on this year's squad.
