Beerball
A rare copy of a comic featuring the first appearance of Superman sold yesterday for $1 million, the highest price ever paid for a comic book.

Chef Jim
Not quite in the same league but I bought (actually a gift from my wife) a book for $350 about 15 years ago. I just saw a copy of the same book at an atiquarian book show for $6,000. Now that book had an original dusk jacket and my has a facimile jacket but I've seen those for as much as $1700. Add a letter from the author and you're talking $30,000-$40,000. Collectibles have some incredible ROR but I don't think I'd ever sell any of my books. If anything I want to buy more.
