What I learned by doing this is that essentially the same players are available at #41 now; the only difference is that in Scenario #1 you have Bradford, and Scenario #2 Bradford falls to Arizona and you have Anthony Davis and an extra #50 pick.

By the Way, You're on the Clock.

I think what we'll see is that regardless of who we take in the first, Mount Cody is a good choice in the second. I'll predict Cody and Capers will be 1 and 2 if you took Bradford, and if you already took your OT with Davis, you'll go Cody and ILB.

ok nvm on my first post here..I noticed that in this thread you have us trading with jax and getting the #50 while in the other thread you have us trading with Houston at #20 and the #50 and the jax option has the #75 a 3rd round pick...so looks like you mixed the two together lol...so since the jax #11 and 3rd round #75 actually won in the other thread I assume that's what you really wanted to go with here...so I'll just pick 1 hehe.

I think you nailed it. This is exactly what I voted for.

Scenario #2 is extremely far fetched for a lot of reasons:

1) Bradford will go in the top 10. St. Louis is talking about him at #1, Washington at #4, Seattle at #6, there's also Cleveland at #7 and Buffalo at #9.

2) Jacksonville doesn't own the #50 pick to trade. That pick belongs to Kansas City (from Atlanta for the Tony Gonzalez trade). Yet and still, Jacksonville doesn't have a 2nd round pick at all. They would have to trade their 3rd round pick. Which brings me to my next point...

3) There's no way Buffalo picks up an extra 2nd round pick by moving down 2 spots. No way. Under the old trade chart (which started at 3,000 pts for the #1 overall pick), that might have been possible. The new trade chart, which starts at 1,000 pts for the #1 pick, values the move from 9 to 11 as being worth anywhere from a late 3rd to early 4th round pick. For Jacksonville--a team that needs a strong draft--to give up a 3rd round pick, when they already lack a 2nd round pick, would be crazy IMO.

4) If Cody does last until the 2nd round, Buffalo would still have to move up to get him. With St. Louis, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Oakland, and Seattle (all of whom have a need at DT) picking in front of Buffalo, even assuming that 2 of those teams take McCoy and Suh in the 1st, there's still a very good chance he's gone by the time pick #41 comes up.

As I said, just seems very, very far fetched.

are we picking 2 from the OT Davis option?...maybe add a third box for 2a and 2b for trade w/jax ppl...just a thought

It would be a third unless they really wanted to move up and we were reluctant to move down.

We're taking DT Terrence Cody from Alabama with our 2nd rounder in both scenarios (Bradford/Cody and Davis/Cody), and ...Mea Culpa. Buffalo gets the #75 3rd rounder for the trade down to #11, not #50. That's Round 3---our #72 pick and JAX's #75. You'll see those 2 picks soon!

Davis/Cody will be a lot of wings. Possibly a shortage in Buffalo.

Astro,

What info can you pass along to a fellow draft-whore on Anthony Davis? The physical tools seem very impressive but I've seen his motivation questioned quite a bit.
