Orton's Arm Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 The special teams focus was a strategy the team used when Dick Levy took over. They wanted to build a team with an advantage there and win games with plays made on special teams. Unfortunately, it's a team sport, and with the noffense going absolutely nowhere, some nice kickoff returns and a bunch of good punts weren't going to make the Bills winners. Marv got his start in coaching as a special teams guy; so it's perhaps no surprise that they were emphasized so much while he was GM. For whatever reason, he seemed better able to find players well-suited to special teams than guys who could play offense or defense. That lack even includes defensive backs--which you would have thought would have been a Marv/Jauron strong point. Marv's track record includes such misses as Donte Whitner, Ashton Youbody, and Ko "I'm worth millions" Simpson.
Estelle Getty Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 cheesy. how long did you sit at the keyboard thinking of these "clever" nicknames?? You should worry more about making better posts instead of adding dumbass comments. Thats the problem with this board. People would rather correct spelling and make bad jokes than talk football.
Speedy G Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 the bottom line is this ladies and gentlemen.......... new eyes on the Bills players will define the roster and actually see if any of them are worthy of playing for " our" team, get rid of the junk and find more studs.!!!!
