High Mark Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 Tebow didn't play in a pro style offense and he succeeded despite his poor skill set. Clausen was playing in a pro style offense under the intense scrutiny that a ND QB always had to deal with. Take their murderous schedule and ND's weak defense and Clausen's performance is even more impressive. Overall, I think I agree with your central point though that numbers alone don't mean much but the author made that point himself. Its all a crap shoot but I would have no problem with a trade up for Clausen. Tebow had the PERFECCT skill set for the O Florida runs. Its a skill set that will have to be severely tweaked if he is to succeed in the NFL NDs murderous schedule? Army, Navy, Air Force, Washington..... Sure isnt the SEC schedule Tebow played against.

High Mark Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Oh, you mean like Charleston Southern and Troy? But nice job making up bullsh--. Well I was wrong, ND didnt play Airforce this year, but they did play Western Michigan and Tulsa!!!! Flordia took on: Tennessee Kentucky LSU Mississippi State Arkansas Georgia South Carolina Florida State Alabama Cincinnati Who was the best team ND played this year? Pitt in early Oct? Maybe Stanford in late Sept? One could say Utah, but they didnt even play in a bowl game - because the team elected not to. Murderous it was! Now how did you put it... "nice job making up bullsh--."
