H2o
Porter is not the same Porter from 3 or 4 years ago. He's clearly in the latter stages of his career. I'll pass.
kota
Why do people fall in love with over 30 free agents? Joey is on the downside of his career. why bring him in?
F UNC
Porter is not the same Porter from 3 or 4 years ago. He's clearly in the latter stages of his career. I'll pass. We need to obtain assets. Sign him to a 1-yr deal...why not.
Ever Since '86
It would be beneficial for the simple fact joey would play harder then ever just despite miami. His LB coach is now our DC and he was also around Chan in pburgh...if we can get him cheap then y not?
F UNC
Why do people fall in love with over 30 free agents? Joey is on the downside of his career. why bring him in? why bring him in? b/c our D coord comes from MIA and knows if he can play now or not! plus, we are converting to a 3-4 and this guy can easily be a situational player in the 3-4 for us....(of which we have few natural 3-4 players or guys who are familiar with the 3-4)...plus, he brings attitude. adding him and incognito and we won't lose to NE just b/c they have Pats unis on. BYGD1
We need to obtain assets. Sign him to a 1-yr deal...why not. Even when he played well he was a Pain in the A##...... We do not need that drama queen here, he is a cancer...
Peevo
I can't wait till someone signs him for a cheap 1 year deal and the same dudes complaining about him will be the ones roasting the front office for standing pat.
Max997
Porter is not the same Porter from 3 or 4 years ago. He's clearly in the latter stages of his career. I'll pass. Porter had 9 sacks in 14 games last year and 17.5 in 2008 thats still pretty good in my book
THE GUY YELLING BEHIND YOU
Porter is not the same Porter from 3 or 4 years ago. He's clearly in the latter stages of his career. I'll pass. He may not be, but he is a mean SOB and frankly I'm tired of the whimps we have on our D with no attitude...Nice guys finish last boys...
BillsGuyInMalta
He'll be a Buffalo Bill by next week. Easily. Our new d-coordinator knows him, as does our new director of player personnel.

kota
Porter asked for his release because he became a situational player. I see people saying he could do that in Buffalo. I think he wants to be a fulltime starter not just a pass specialist.
bills1960
He may not be the same player as he was two years ago, but he guy palays ahrd and would e a great influence on maybin, nic harris and whatever lb's we draft.

HooperBills
the cowboys d sucked till they got a guy with a crazy side to him(brooking) and it came alive. I really believe a player like porter can infuse this d with what we need, so pshco in your face d! cowboys suck, GO BILLS!
dgrid
all great points. takes care of OLB for 2010. Porter/Schobel (hopefully), w/ Maybin/Ellis in rotation, learning. Brings experience, and attitude. I say 1 yr deal tho, that did work to keep TO in check.
