that useless parcell of land is called niagara falls

They just need to get the Indians on board and call the place the Seneca Niagara Poker Dome! There will be confusion about just what poke-her means, put in 80 gas pumps and cheap smokes and the place will be packed every day!

I am shocked at the overwhelming support for a dome. The games I have been to in the snow where the best. The fans were extra pumped, and the atmosphere was electric. It is cold, but that is part of the fun. Going inside to watch a football game would just feel wrong.

A Super Bowl in Buffalo? That would be good for the area. I thought the NFL was going to start playing the Super Bowl in colder climate stadiums, without domes. I can't remember where I heard that, but I thought there was some strong consideration for doing so. Also, even if the game is inside, there is still the possibility of some inclement weather outside...or more like a 75% chance.

A new stadium would be cool, I guess I would just prefer some massive renovations to RWS, but I am a little bit sentimental like that, but I am not down with a dome.

the Ralph is actually a very bland stadium. heck old War Memorial had more charm. i have no problem with a dome in downtown NF near the falls, casinos and canada

I do NOT want to see a dome in buffalo. and I still dont see the problems with the ralph... sure its getting a tad old, but its no worse really than other stadiums. I mean, compared to old yankee stadium or fenway (i know its a different sport, oh well) the ralph is high class. It kinda has the blue collar feel to it... and what would we do with the massive expanse of paved lands in OP if it got moved? how many businesses in OP are 95% reliant on the bills' patrons for their business?

I think just some new paint and a few shiny things and lights, and suddenly it would seem like the best stadium in the world.

In a perfect world...

Weren't the ECC campuses all going to be placed at the city campus, closing down the north and south ones?

Well, there's your parcel of land for a new stadium... ECC South. You have the parking that's needed right across the street.

Have the same company that built Rich Stadium or have HOK build you your new 85-90k seat open-air stadium running along Southwestern Blvd. I would like to see a similar design as the current stadium, with two upper decks, blue seats in the upper decks also (no benches)... copy the large endzone scoreboards like they have at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. Have a "Rockpile" section of benches on the upper part of each endzone.

Before that, before you construct a new stadium... get an independent analysis of the current stadium and its shelf life. Have HOK, HTNB, Ellerbe Becket and HKS conduct an examination of the current structure and see how much longer it has. Then you go to the county and you iron out a new lease agreement. And then you give the middle finger to Jerry Jones, Bob Kraft and Danny Snyder.... and Bud Adams.

Living down here I'm not familiar with that area but 85-90k seats? No, there would be a blackout every week.

I would have a couple corner sections either on the 100 or 200 level with no seats for those people that want to stand throughout the entire game. These would still have reserved tickets, not general admission like other stadiums. There would be row and "place" numbers, handrails running the length of each row with cup holders, maybe even small shelves or like a small bar top in each row for anything you don't want on the ground, like food, jacket, etc.

The Ralph is similar to QualComm stadium in San Diego. It is considered an antique and needs to be blown up. They are considering building a new stadium next to Petco Park.

Where is the money going to come from? Sad days in San Diego when they sold 7 horses and 9? dog from the police force to save $250.000 a year. All those parks and no patrols.

No no no.. your grandchildren's grandchildren will be paying back Bush's mistakes and illegal wars. Your grandchildren's grandchildren's grand kids will be paying back anything else.

Doesn't matter. If they build it, I will go. If they don't, I will go. Attendance is not a problem in Bflo, so, what does a new stadium give us, better chicken sandwiches??

Niagara Falls?? God no. How about in Bflo, waterfront down near the old train station. I love they way Pittsburgh's stadium fram the city skyline.

what if they used the steel plant grounds or knocked down some/all of the abandoned warehouses/factories/houses in the city? sure on some of the lands they'd have to have some significant plumbing to make it code, but it would be sweet

My computer has a better sound system then our ****** stadium. Our place can rock, but when I brought my friends to a game this fall they thought that was some high school stadium as we were coming in. We need the upgrades anyways it's long over due.

Wrong again. Total responsibiltiy belongs to career politicians in Congress. The McClains and other Repubs that have come and gone, Kennedys, Reids, Pelosis, etc. You sir seem to not know or do not understand the roll of the congress vs. the presidency. The House of Representatives is responsible for all Financial bills ie The Budget. The Senate is Responsible for ratifying treaties and Ratifying Wars (legal or illegal Vote no and the President must bring the troops home.) Finally the President's responsibility is to protect the interests of the people by approving or vetoing bills that come from congress to his desk, then executing the laws, not formulating policy as a Corporate CEO. He is also entrusted with negotiating international treaties, then presenting them to the Senate for ratification or denial. HE IS NOT a Sovereign ruler. Finally, the Supreme Court is charged with reviewing bills that become law as to constitutionality before we are apprehended for breaking them.

If you have not read the federalist papers, now would be a good time to do so. We have all became serfs to the federal government going back to the end of the 1800's. It is not because of Bush or Obama, it is because we keep electing the same congressmen over and over thinking they will change. insanity prevails!!!!!!

Sorry, but downtown Buffalo has a long way to go before it could be as nice a backdrop as Pittsburgh is

The Spanos's are going to put up all of the money. The city just has to donate the land, which they would like to do, but the land was/is a city bus depot and the soil is contaminated. They are arguing who has to pay for the soil cleanup.

It is sad about selling the horses. As far as the horses go, I think the savings were more like 2 million though. It was either get rid of the horses and transfer those officers to squad cars or fire them. The horses lost.

Yeah, soil cleanup... I had read that previously about San Diego... well, what do you think will happen the moment you put a shovel to earth in Green Goo Niagara Falls. And let's not forget about the Manhattan Project **** that they dumped there and at the Bethlehem Steel site.

Can you imagine trying to build a stadium at either site... that process would be slower than attempting to put up an international bridge.

No... under this hypothetical situation, it's much easier to just KO ECC South... I don't think there's green goo in the ground there.
