CountDorkula Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Holy crap is this skating junk rigged! I really don't know how they can call it a sport. I'm certain the judges have written all the scores before hand. It's a complete joke. It was unbelieveable, I was actually somewhat aggrevated by the whole thing. Both Russian pairs and the Canadian pair falter yet score higher that others who run flawless runs. I thought the new scoring system was supposed to prevent that, guess not. Even the announcers were stunned at some of the scores...
Hammered a Lot Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Skatings rigged. The lady lugers are having problems with the new starting point. You got to start on the right side of the starting chute to make the first turn with out climbing the wall and slowing down. Their sleds are stiff, there made for high speeds not turning. I can't wait for curling to start. Make mine a 50, thats Labatts 50!
WellDressed Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Total NBC B.S. What happened to Downhill coverage?? We saw six skiers tonight. They really have changed their target market. 3-1 time ratio of snowboarding to skiing. I have no problem with the time allocated for the skating programs and cross country disciplines, but these freestyle competitions are getting entirely too much time. This is unacceptable, they had better devote more time for the Super G and the Giant Slalom later this week. Just focusing on Bode Miller is not enough.

Beerball Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Men's Hockey...USA v Switzerland final 3-1 Good job by Miller.
Hammered a Lot Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Tough day for the USA so far. Female snowboarder has trouble in the beginning of the finals. Done. She does win the consolation finals. Women curlers up 3 in the 4 end and loss,, even with the Hammer in the 10th end, to Japan. The officials had to bring out a rock measuring device in the 10th end, and the US lost by a hair if not less. Screw the Labatt 50, make mine a Brador.
ieatcrayonz Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Women curlers up 3 in the 4 end and loss,, even with the Hammer in the 10th end, Nice knowing you, cuz I think you're getting banned for that.
bills_fan Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Go Lindsey today! She killed it! Monster run, gotta be the gold.
Bullpen Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 She killed it! Monster run, gotta be the gold. I gotta admit, she's pretty media-savvy.
Hammered a Lot Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 She killed it! Monster run, gotta be the gold. Womens curling team losses again. Some big crashes on the slopes today. I only got to watch up to skier #22. #21 wipeout had to hurt!
Beerball Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Womens curling team losses again. They lost, but they totally outclassed the German's in the looks department. Couple cuties on the US team. Congrats to Vonn on the Downhill Gold!
Wayne Fontes Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Johnny Weir has to be the gayest thing I've ever seen. My wife controlled the remote last night, so I was forced to watch the fruit-bat flutter. I wasn't sure if it was an athletic event or a Depeche Mode show.
Andy Rooney Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Clitious, was the best Olympioin that I ever saw. We're talkin years here folks. dib's avatars would better reflect the view...........
KD in CA Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Some quality crashes here on the women's downhill. That final jump is no joke, huh?
Guest dog14787 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Some quality crashes here on the women's downhill. some nasty ones for sure, Lindys Vonn gets her medal
KD in CA Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Wow, brutal crash for the Swedish girl who looked like she had the silver; 190 feet in the air and totally out of control at 70+ mph. Does it not count if you slide across the finish line?
PromoTheRobot Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 The curling has been great...except for the USA. Both women's and men's teams chocking away wins with bad throws, usually on the last rock. PTR
