DarthICE Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Funny Ryan and Flacco were first round picks and have done good, Brohm can't beat out 7th stringers for a roster spot.
F UNC Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3350135 SUCCESSFUL Matt Ryan (32 starts, 59.9 percent completion rate) Brian Brohm (33 starts, 65.8 percent completion rate) Joe Flacco (26 starts, 63.4 percent completion rate) Chad Henne (47 starts, 59.7 percent completion rate) vs UNSUCCESSFUL Boller 48% Leaf 54% Druckenmiller 54%
F UNC Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 Funny Ryan and Flacco were first round picks and have done good, Brohm can't beat out 7th stringers for a roster spot. We shall see if he is given a legit chance...why not? He is better than the college crop and the avail free agent crop IMO.
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 that's a solid article F UNC. Problem with Brohm however may be more mental than anything else..which is hard to measure quantitatively. Brohm said himself he was "in over his head" while in GB..we'll see.
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Bradford: Career 67.6% Comp. Perc.; 8,403 yards; 88td; 16int; 175.6 rating; in 31 games. GODLY.
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Wait, let me just restate that last post one more time: Career 67.6% Comp. Perc.; 8,403 yards; 88td; 16int; 175.6 rating. Let it sink in.
BillsZubaz Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Bradford: Career 67.6% Comp. Perc.; 8,403 yards; 88td; 16int; 175.6 rating; in 31 games. GODLY. I will support any QB that plays for the Bills. Bradford has skill and I cannot deny that. I have 2 main concerns about Bradford in the NFL. 1. He played entirely out of a spread offense 2. He had a monstrous offensive line that protected him very well through most of his career. (Its easier for a QB to be good when they have time and can see the field) I say you devote your top picks to the trenches this year and have a camp battle (Or bring in someone via trade/FA).
Solomon Grundy Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Dan Lefevour: 53 games, 66.4% completion pct., 12,000 yds passing, 102 TD's, 36 INT's, 142.9 QB rating
BillsZubaz Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Dan Lefevour: 53 games, 66.4% completion pct., 12,000 yds passing, 102 TD's, 36 INT's, 142.9 QB rating I'm ok with Addressing the lines in the first few round and then picking him up in a mid/later round.
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Dan Lefevour: 53 games, 66.4% completion pct., 12,000 yds passing, 102 TD's, 36 INT's, 142.9 QB rating No doubt impressive regardless of where one plays...but he plays in the MAC.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Wow. Brohm was once projected to go #1 overall??
lets_go_bills Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Dan Lefevour: 53 games, 66.4% completion pct., 12,000 yds passing, 102 TD's, 36 INT's, 142.9 QB rating You know Graham Harrell, Colt Brennan and Timmy Chong all put up monstrous stats in college and all can't even cut it in the CFL. Stats aren't everything.
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 just a consideration, that's all. definitely worth keepin an eye on though on draft day. i'd much rather take dan over Pike, for example
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 You know Graham Harrell, Colt Brennan and Timmy Chong all put up monstrous stats in college and all can't even cut it in the CFL. Stats aren't everything. Clearly, they're not. However he also gets extremely high grades on football intelligence, leadership, and work ethic. (unlike some question marks other QBs in this draft have (cough, Clausen, cough). In other words, he's the comlete package. Of course he still may flop, but lets be honest, all we can really go off of are college numbers.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 No doubt impressive regardless of where one plays...but he plays in the MAC. So did Roethlisberger. I wonder how that worked out for Pittsburgh...
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Daryll Clark- QB Penn State Totals: GP: 41 COMP: 444 ATT: 738 YARDS: 5,742 COMP %: 60.2% TD: 43 INT: 16 I think this guy could be good. Not to mention that he will last to the 4th or 5th round.
Albany,n.y. Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 The guy was right on 1 of the 4 guys he evaluated (Henne), so I'm not sure what credibility I'd give to him. However, he did say one thing that should stop this "Brohm has a rocket arm" nonsense that has been posted around here. Brohm's weaknesses -- arm strength and mobility --
bobobonators Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 So did Roethlisberger. I wonder how that worked out for Pittsburgh... yes, i know. i'm saying it's just a consideration, that's all. Level of competition in ACC >> MAC. hard to argue against that.
Armchair GM Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Daryll Clark- QB Penn State Totals: GP: 41 COMP: 444 ATT: 738 YARDS: 5,742 COMP %: 60.2% TD: 43 INT: 16 I think this guy could be good. Not to mention that he will last to the 4th or 5th round. so, in only 12 less games than LeFevour, he has 7,173 yds less, 49 TD's less, and is roughly 6% lower in comp %...yeah, he should be good...
