Albany,n.y. Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Since Seattle is in a similar boat as the Bills with Hasselbeck at or nearing the end, if Wallace is any good the last thing they're going to do is get rid of him. If they don't feel good enough about him & offer him to the Bills, why would we want the guy? Either way, NFW to Wallace being the Bills QB next year.

Maybe the last regime you know Holmgren liked him but Carrol doesnt. Id like to see him here personally
San Jose Bills Fan Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Can anyone name a "Mobile" QB that has won a Super Bowl since Roger Staubach? Uh, Brett Favre and John Elway?

He's an unrestricted FA...he doesn't have to go back there if he doesn't want to. The only way Seattle could keep him against his will would be to franchise tag him, and I doubt they're going to spend $11M+ on a one-year deal for a guy that's a relative unknown. I've posted about him before, and I don't think it's a bad idea. He's got some experience, he's mobile, he's still relatively young and healthy...if they can get him at a reasonable price, why not?
Pirate Angel Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 He maybe better than what we have....thats not saying much
metzelaars_lives Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I guess I don't understand this idea that the team is going after a mobile qb (vick) Gailey was a college coach and that's the college game - completely different than the pro-game. mobile = gimmick = fail give me a pocket passer and a strong offensive line - Are the Mannings mobile? is Brady mobile? Rivers? Warner? etc, etc?? sure get Seneca Wallace - great idea!! maybe we can trick everyone by running a no-huddle? TO, are you a fan of the Bills' no-huddle offense?
stinky finger Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 You could argue Ben Roethlisberger....pretty mobile guy Favre, D. Williams , Montana, S. Young, Elway. They weren't mobile.
Captain Hindsight Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Favre, D. Williams , Montana, S. Young, Elway. They weren't mobile. No they were, just the first name that came to mind for me
Mr. WEO Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Why does everyone dis a guy they barely know anything about? Wallace has been a great QB for the Hawks when asked to be. He has a lot of starting experience too filling in for the oft injured Hasselback. Chack out his #s from 2008 when he started teh second half of the season for the IRed Hasselback. http://www.nfl.com/players/senecawallace/p...le?id=WAL501121 1500+ yards, 11 TDs, and 3 picks in 10 games (8 starts). Id take a 3000 yrd passer who throws 20 TDs next season. Wallace is 7 years in the league and he has only appeared in 44 games and started only 14. For 4 of his 7 seasons, he did....... nothing (the best way to guarantee a long career when you're a backup QB!). If you also double Fitz's yards and TDs this past season, you'll nearly get the QB you claim you'd be satisfied with. Bringing in this guy as a starter would make no sense, to say the least.
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Since alot of peiople seem to think we are going after a mobile QB (McNabb, Vick, Thigpen) Why not Seneca Wallace. He has appeared in 48 games (couldnt find number of starts) But he started 3 last year and performend fairly well. He is a 7 year vet and was hand picked by Holmgren after many said he couldnt be a QB in the NFL. Very mobile as evidenced by this video Would come fairly cheap and be a decent solution until we can find a long term starter....Thoughts? Note Signed 4 year deal in 2007 I mentioned this a couple weeks ago...he would fit in Gailey's scheme...but I dont want him as our QB, but moreso a "slash" type player (ala Brad Smith). We need a player like that on this team!
