banjo moe Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I think this guy would still be playing football if he had a tougher name. I mean how many pro football players with wimpy monikers are actually successful? If he was Brandon Switchblade, Brandon Cleaver or Even Brandon Fork his fortunes may have turned out different.

DDD Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I actually thought Spoon was one of those guys who always seemed to be around the ball and could make plays. Then he tore his biceps and eventually was cut in favor of Josh Stamer. C'est la vie.
banjo moe Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 Sincerely, Banjo Moe Alright, alright, I was just trying to have some fun. Almost everyone on here is following a team that has become the Carp of the football world. I thought bringing up Brandon Spoon might be therapeutic for a city with a national inferiority complex for not being able to get it done.
DDD Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Hey Wagner, love the "wacko" emoticon. Where did you get it? I don't see it in the dropdown choices and could find frequent use of it here at TBD.

This has got to be the dumbest thread I have read. Does Drew Brees, Bryan Cox, Randall Gay or Peerless Price have "tough names"? Who cares, either they can play or the cant. Just like some can write good blogs and some cant.
yungmack Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 On the other hand, Mike Stonebreaker (of Notre Dame) had about the best name ever for a linebacker but never made it in the NFL.
JimBob2232 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Must be why Lucious Pusey never panned out... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=148900

Who cares, either they can play or the cant. Just like some can write good blogs and some cant. What a perfect analogy. You're a brilliant man, may I read your blog?
TDO'Kearney Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 On the other hand, Mike Stonebreaker (of Notre Dame) had about the best name ever for a linebacker but never made it in the NFL. I disagree. TE Carlester Crumpler Jr., Seattle or RB Carlester Crumpler Sr, Buffalo.
Webster Guy Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I see your Randall Gay, and raise you an Erik Flowers. I see your Randall Gay, Erik Flowers, and raise you a Harry Colon.
