MattyT Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Nice. Sean Payton Sleeps with the Lombardi Trophy
gobillsinytown Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 To think, if the Bills management had any brains at the time (ever?), Sean Payton could have been our coach. Perhaps that could've been the Bills winning the Superbowl last night. Instead..... Every time I see Sean Payton, I get (ticked) off at the Bills. Congrats Saints, GREAT job! Your avatar and post suggest you're angry about something.
Just Jack Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Nice. Sean Payton Sleeps with the Lombardi Trophy Bow chicka bow wow
eball Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Gregg Williams is a man most are toasting in NO. The Bills did have him. Does that mean they were dumb to let him go? As well they should. His schemes allowed the Colts to become "overconfident" during the early 98-yard drive, and then he was instrumental in the ball control offense the Saints ran to keep Manning on the sidelines.
In-A-Gadda-Levitre Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 He was 17-31 here. That's a worse winning % than Jauron and Mularkey and he had the best QB (Bledsoe) for 2 years. He sucked as a HC and the Redskins passed on him as well when he was the coach in waiting. GW is a textbook example of the Peter Principle. He was outstanding as a DC, but as you say, sucked as a HC. He went back to what he does well and came out on top.
CarolinaBill Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 NO had the top offense last year and went 8-8, greggo came in and they won the Super Bowl, defense wins Championships, and the Saints D found a way to Shut down the "smartest player to ever play the game", and intercept the "greatest QB in NFL History", to seal the victory. As much as i hate to say it, Greg williams deserves a ton of credit for shaping up that D.

What's with people posting we should've had this player/coach, our drafts were blown because we didn't get this future probowler...it's just silly...having Payton most likely not have gotten us to the Super Bowl There are a million things involved in getting to and winning the Super Bowl...I say stop worrying about the past and be optimistic about the future... We were all calling for the removal of Jauron (done) and a revamping of the front office (done)...Let's see what this new blood can do
