They would be much better that what we have seen for a while. There is no reason to be rebuilding for years in todays NFL. Make some good moves, get a few close wins from better coaching or better luck. If they are able to put together a reasonable offense, which they will this year just with the coaching staff they have added they will win more games.

The offense has some weapons, they just need better schemes and protection packages. The defense has always been a reasonable defense, good enough to win with some help from the offense.

Scheme up the offense better, add a QB, sign TO or another big WR and they will be good. Chan will make them better on offense, that is what he is all about.

That's not saying much. Replace mediocre players with more of the same.

Putting together /upgrading the offensive line and actually running a nfl caliber offense will be a big impovement in itself and something that could easily happen

he only mentions one player, read the post. Teams have rebuilt quickly with other teams back-ups and smart free agent free agent pickups (st. louis in the nineties, dolphins recently, pats in the early tom brady days)

Adding an experienced QB would be a good move. Then draft a QB of the future and let him learn. Other than that though I disagree with you that a few FA can improve this team enough to get to the playoffs. And let's remember the goal isn't to get to the playoffs, it is the SB. The talent level on this team is so poor that I'm not sure there are any true keepers. I would like to see them blow it all up and build for the SB in 4 or 5 years instead of building to make the playoffs next year. The overall goal has to be long term instead of short term. The short term goals are a means to an end. By trying to supplement with FA just to get good enough to make the playoffs, which I dont' think is possible, is the wrong way to go. That is why the Bills haven't made the playoffs in 10 years.

Who do you propose be the starting QB next year?

Edwards , Brohm or Fitzpatrick who has now won 9 of his last 12 games.

No QB could succeed behind our O-line, coaching and management last season.

So why blame the QB's we have now.
