A relative of Hicks said outside Monday's preliminary hearing that the teenager is unfairly having to bear the responsibility for a group beating, just because he was honest about his involvement. She did not wish to provide her name for publication. "It already sounds unfair," the relative said. "The officer said he only caused one thing.
