jaycorp51 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Assume no big name free agent signings (Dansby, McNabb) have been made, TO is let go, and the Bills stick with a 4-3 as base defense. Here are 5 players we think will be available at our pick in each round, and at least one who we think won't be (although you could pick them one round early). Make the picks you think give us the best chance to win over the next 2 years. ROUND 1 (McClain isn't there--goes to KC at #5; Clausen-Bradford are gone) ---Trent Williams OT Oklahoma ---Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State ---Dan Williams DT Tennessee ---Terrence Cody DT Alabama ---Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa ---Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech ---Anthony Davis OG Rutgers ---Mike Iupati OG Idaho ---Sean Weatherspoon OLB Missouri ---Colt McCoy QB Texas ROUND 2 (Kindle-Spikes gone) ---Tim Tebow QB Florida ---Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma ---Mardy Gilyard WR Cincinnati ---Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida ---Aaron Hernandez TE Florida ---Tony Pike QB Cincinnati ---Vladimir Ducasse OG Massachusetts ---Mike Johnson OT Alabama ---Tyson Alualu DT California ROUND 3 (Willie Young DE, Bowman LB, Jason Fox OT gone) ---Arthur Jones DT Syracuse ---Daryl Washington ILB TCU ---Eric Norwood ILB South Carolina ---Matt Tennant OC Boston College ---Jeremy Williams WRF Tulane ---Jordan Shipley WRS Texas ---Jevan Snead QB Mississippi ---Selvish Capers OT West Virginia ---Ben Tate RB Auburn ---Ed Dickson TE Oregon ---Dexter McCluster WR Mississippi ROUND 4 (D'Anthony Smith DT, Ciron Black OT/OG, Muckleroy LB gone) ---Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan ---Brandon Lang DE Troy ---O'Brien Schofield OLB Wisconsin ---George Selvie DE South Florida ---Zane Beadles OG Utah ---Tony Moeaki FB Iowa ---Dekoda Watson OLB Florida State ---Micah Johnson ILB Kentucky ---Danario Alexander WR Missouri ---A.J. LynchMob23 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Astro, Is the kid from Citadel available in rd 3 or 4 (or even 5?)
Bflojohn Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I don't think Gresham is dropping to the 2nd round folks, he is a prototype recieving TE along the lines of Tony Gonzales, IMO. IF, and that's a HUGE IF, he were there in the second round, pick 41, RUN up to the stage at Radio City Music Hall and DRAFT HIM!!! As it's constituted on your board, here's my selections. 1st round- Dan Williams, DT/NT, Tennessee 2nd round- (under the assumption Gresham is GONE!) Tyson Alualu, DE, Cal 3rd round- Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas 4th round- Dan LeFevour, QB. Central Mich. My rationale.... Williams will anchor a 3-4 and hybrid defense for years, well worth the pick, Alualu is the speed rusher that the Bills lack, at the present time (production being the key). Shipley is the Bills version of Wes Welker, and THAT is not a bad thing. When he helps our new hotshot signal caller get first downs, we will welcome Dan LeFevour as our next great QB!!
VABills Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Since it's all fantasy, the stars align and we get the following though poor drafting on the other 31 teams: 1 - Suh 2 - Morgan 3 - Okung 4 - Mcclain
Astrobot Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Astro,Is the kid from Citadel available in rd 3 or 4 (or even 5?) I think you mean the WR that came up big in practices this week, Andre Roberts. Roberts was the most consistent route-runner of the day. He even made Jarrett Brown look good. He had to contort his body in midair on a wide slant route to catch his pass LOL. He's hard to bump at the line due to quick feet. Bob Rang and Chad Reuter say he's Top 100, and it's a deep draft for WR, so 4th Round is likely with his good week.
Dennis in NC Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Looks like you're looking for a DT or QB and maybe another O-Line Guy. But here's who are still there at RD5:Kavell Conner OLB43 Vince Oghobaase DT43 John Jerry OG Naaman Roosevelt WRF Buffalo Geno Atkins DT Mike Williams WRF Syracuse Ted Larsen OG Jamar Chaney ILB Mississippi State Dennis Pitta TE BYU Lindsey Witten OLB34 Connecticut Alex Carrington DE34 Arkansas State Colin Peek TE Alabama John Skelton QB Fordham IIRC, Lindsey Witten OLB34 Connecticut is Donte Whitner's cousin (or half-brother?) BTW, I like: Bulaga Pike Daryl Washington ILB TCU Edds - Iowa
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 1. Bryan Bulaga OT 2. Navorro Bowman OLB 3. Jeremy Williams WR 4. Micah Johnson MLB 5. Geno Atkins DT 6. James Starks RB I can't picture using a 2nd round pick on a QB who I cannot be sure is better/has more upside than Brian Brohm.

Fewell733 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 1. Bulaga 2. Jason Pierre-Paul (will not be there, probably won't make it out of the top-10 - Nawrocki has him going 3rd overall I think, which was a big surprise) 3. Jordan Shipley 4. Dan LeFevour

yungmack Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I don't understand all the Tony Pike love around here. Did you not watch the Senior Bowl? At least Tebowism seems to have died down.
jangalang Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Barring any trades: 1. Dan Williams DT Tennessee 2. Mike Johnson OG Alabama 3. Ben Tate RB Auburn 4. Micah Johnson LB Kentucky 5. Jarrett Brown QB W Virginia FYI, Mike Johnson of Alabama played guard his entire career, so I highly doubt he's up for OT.

I would also wanna swing a trade up for Iupati cause he is the real deal) 3- Off the board answer of the Amherst native TE from Arizona Gronkowski (6'6'' 265lb Jason witten II, falls cause of injury/surgery) 4- Off the board answer of "Touchdown" Tobey Garhart -My Rnd 3/4 werent on your list at all, not sure when your mock has them going, but I think they will be around in those rounds. I really like Jarret Brown if one of my guys is gone. - Where does Greg Hardy go? He will be a big time steal -My draft is very focused on establishing a physical dominant run game. With our O being able to run the ball I think the our immediate needs at QB and on D can be lessened.
