1-Buluga

2-Vladimire Duccase (if he is as good as they say he is- I dont watch Umass football. I would also wanna swing a trade up for Iupati cause he is the real deal)

3- Off the board answer of the Amherst native TE from Arizona Gronkowski (6'6'' 265lb Jason witten II, falls cause of injury/surgery)

4- Off the board answer of "Touchdown" Tobey Garhart

-My Rnd 3/4 werent on your list at all, not sure when your mock has them going, but I think they will be around in those rounds. I really like Jarret Brown if one of my guys is gone.

- Where does Greg Hardy go? He will be a big time steal

-My draft is very focused on establishing a physical dominant run game. With our O being able to run the ball I think the our immediate needs at QB and on D can be lessened.

Then you want Blount..dude is a bruiser

Assume no big name free agent signings (Dansby, McNabb) have been made, TO is let go, and the Bills stick with a 4-3 as base defense. Here are 5 players we think will be available at our pick in each round, and at least one who we think won't be (although you could pick them one round early). Make the picks you think give us the best chance to win over the next 2 years.

ROUND 1 (McClain isn't there--goes to KC at #5; Clausen-Bradford are gone)

---Trent Williams OT Oklahoma

---Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State

---Dan Williams DT Tennessee

---Terrence Cody DT Alabama

---Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa

---Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech

---Anthony Davis OG Rutgers

---Mike Iupati OG Idaho

---Sean Weatherspoon OLB Missouri

---Colt McCoy QB Texas

ROUND 2 (Kindle-Spikes gone)

---Tim Tebow QB Florida

---Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma

---Mardy Gilyard WR Cincinnati

---Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida

---Aaron Hernandez TE Florida

---Tony Pike QB Cincinnati

---Vladimir Ducasse OG Massachusetts

---Mike Johnson OT Alabama

---Tyson Alualu DT California

ROUND 3 (Willie Young DE, Bowman LB, Jason Fox OT gone)

---Arthur Jones DT Syracuse

---Daryl Washington ILB TCU

---Eric Norwood ILB South Carolina

---Matt Tennant OC Boston College

---Jeremy Williams WRF Tulane

---Jordan Shipley WRS Texas

---Jevan Snead QB Mississippi

---Selvish Capers OT West Virginia

---Ben Tate RB Auburn

---Ed Dickson TE Oregon

---Dexter McCluster WR Mississippi

ROUND 4 (D'Anthony Smith DT, Ciron Black OT/OG, Muckleroy LB gone)

---Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan

---Brandon Lang DE Troy

---O'Brien Schofield OLB Wisconsin

---George Selvie DE South Florida

---Zane Beadles OG Utah

---Tony Moeaki FB Iowa

---Dekoda Watson OLB Florida State

---Micah Johnson ILB Kentucky

---Danario Alexander WR Missouri

---A.J. Edds OLB Iowa

Still on the board after our #4 pick, which you may use:

---Mitch Petrus OG Arkansas

---Brandon Carter OG Texas Tech

---Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale

---Thaddeus Gibson OLB Ohio State

---Jarrett Brown QB West Virginia

My Picks:

---Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa

---Tony Pike QB Cincinnati

---Eric Norwood ILB South Carolina

---Brandon Lang DE Troy

And taking ---Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale in the 5th

Love everyones picks..seems most are onboard with the needs of this team. However, our needs are going to change once FA period begins so I am going to wait until then. I will however search for this in the archives and re post..fair enough? I know alot wont want to hear this, but its a good chance Vick comes here. If that happens, then its vick, brohm, then fitzy and edwards fighting it out for the final spot..I see fitz the winner. Time will tell for sure.

After Bradford and clausen none of these QB's are gonna turn out any better than what we already have. QB probably just isn't in the cards this year. Don't take one just to take one.

Round 1 --- Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa - Need a dominant OT, Bulaga looks to be the real deal.

Round 2 --- Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida - Really like Pike and think that he'll be a good one with some added bulk but the DE here is too good to pass up, especially if Schobel retires (or maybe Schobel garners an additional pick).

Round 3 --- Eric Norwood ILB South Carolina - can't ignore the LB corps any longer...one of the biggest weaknesses on the team last year.

Round 4 --- Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan - Time to groom a QB and there's value at this spot...hope to grab a serviceable vet via FA/trade.

Still on the board after our #4 pick, which you may use:

--- Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale - keep shoring up the O-line, especially at tackle.

1. C.J. Spiller, Electric with the ball.

2. M. Johnson OT Ala. Talent at tackle is sorely needed.

3. Dan Lefevour. QB CM. Big Kid used to the weather.

4. Arthur Jones Syr. Maybe wishes do come true.

This is an interesting one, esp if we end up trading Lynch for someone/picks in the off-season... No one seems to be talking about Spiller, obviously it's not a need for the Bills, but the dude is going to be sick.

Of the choices you've given, my choices would be:

1. Bulaga, but if you can trade down, pick up an extra 2nd/3rd & draft Cody later in the 1st...

2. Ducasse (Depends on if Incognito is still here...)

3. Jones/Washington - I'm sorry, but Buffalo cannot draft a guy named Norwood...Sorry.

4. LeFevor, but I doubt he's there, I heard he had a good looking Senior Bowl and probably improved his draft position.

This is assuming that the Bills go to a 3-4 and are able to pick up a QB in free agency.

Also, if Spiller were there in the 2nd, I might be inclined to take him instead.

The difference between the two is Gerharts incredible balence. Im sticking with Toby, he will be the best RB in this draft when its all said and done.

I would go with...

1. Bulaga, solid player and a base hit.

2. Ducasse, can play LT/LG/RG/RT so can most likely start at RG or RT should Wood or Butler not be ready.

3. Washington, bigger linebacker with a ton of speed and coverage ability. Would help establish the LOS on other side of offense.

4. Roberts (Citadel) wasn't listed, but I'd take him. He's a solid future number two and can battle for a slot this year. Think Hines Ward with a little more speed.

5. Brown (WVU) or Linval Joseph (ECU) - Either a QB to develop or a solid NT candidate for the 3-4 or 4-3.

I don't understand all the Tony Pike love around here. Did you not watch the Senior Bowl? At least Tebowism seems to have died down.

Yeah that's after one week with an entirelynew team, new coaches, new plays. He is probably most like Joe Flacco. Just put some weight on him, let him throw it 6-7 times a game like a rookie should, and we would be ok.

AstroBot, I noticed in another thread, you thought Jonathan Crompton going in the 5th round to the Bills was too soon. I'm curious as to why? Tennessee started out the season looking awful, but their turnaround was due mostly to Crompton's improvement. You look at his games against UCLA (I saw that game in person) and Florida, and he was beyond awful. In later games against UGA and Alabama, he was a totally different QB. With the improvement over the season, I believe he'd be well worth a look in Rd 5.

My biggest fear is settling for Pike in the 2nd round, and being stuck with him for years (see Losman and Edwards). I don't see any QB outside of Clausen as being a can't miss candidate. Bradford's injury scares me away from him. Build the line this year, take a chance on Crompton, if it doesn't look like anything promising, go for a top QB next year.

That being said, my picks:

Bulaga

Gilyard

Washington (Norwood is an OLB, is he not? We have to get Poz out of the middle.)

Lang

Crompton

I know that we most definitely need to draft someone other than Spiller/RB in the first round spot because we want to build the lines, etc. But wow it's hard to pass on Spiller here. The guy is instant offense. Whoever we pick better be really good or we're going to regret passing on CJ...

Norwood had a hard time defending the pass at the Sr. Bowl practices. I like Bulaga.

Pike is pretty skinny and may take a couple years to bulk up a bit.

Posted

1.) Bulaga- bulaga levitre wood incognito butler with simmons, hang, bell, chambers is good depth

2.) Gresham- him and nelson is a heck of a tightend/receiving duo

3.)Mccluster- change of pace back with breakaway speed

4.) Levefour- if we get vick he can learn behind vick like schaub in atl.

I'm hoping mcclains the first pick, but would be estatic with this draft only if we pick up a top free agent linebacker and another solid dt. Depending on maybin and mccargo to fill those is asking for a lot.

Tony Pike? Really? Dude is so skinny, he looks like a skeleton wrapped in an ace bandage. @ 6'6" and 212Lbs, he'll get murdered in the NFL.

LOL...I like the comparison. I definitely have some concerns about his potential durability, so I'd pass on him too.

3. Ben Tate RB Auburn

4. Micah Johnson LB Kentucky

FYI, Mike Johnson of Alabama played guard his entire career, so I highly doubt he's up for OT.

FYI We don't need any more guards.

If Clausen and McClain are both gone in the first, which I don't believe they will be then it is between Williams and Buluaga.

2nd round will be Pierre-Paul or Alulua

3rd round would not be surprised to see them take LeFevour or Snead though we need a solid LB

4th round and I'm not positive but Selvie out of USF.
