Nanker Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He was Brookie. He and Pat Summerall were about the best announcing team ever. IMHO. One of the very best in the booth ever. Didn't know he was ill. RIP Tom.

Alaska Darin Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I miss Brookshier and Curt Gowdy. They were light years ahead of the current group - I never got tired of listening to them and I think a big part of it was they let the game tell most of the story.
Bills4154 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Enjoyed listening to Tom, Pat and Curt. RIP Tom!
BuffaloBud Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 If I am not mistaken he was a host / co-host of the NFL highlight show, This Week In the NFL, on Saturdays. Had the helmets on the wall in the background. That was about the only way you could get info on the other games / teams. Godspeed Tom.
