Lori Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 McKinnie dismissed from the Pro Bowl Okay, not that I take the game seriously to begin with, but c'mon, Bryant. If you're going to tell them that you're playing, at least show up for more than one practice ...
DrDawkinstein Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 LOL! good for him though. who cares? its just the pro bowl
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He didn't belong on it anyways. He is slightly above average LT who gets to play next to the best guard in the NFL.

Pete Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Thats funny, I heard Mike Williams got kicked out of a Chinese Buffet
Lori Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 LOL! good for him though. who cares? its just the pro bowl Supposedly, McKinnie himself cared enough to openly campaign for the honor. Guessing the other players might not be in the mood to vote for him again ...
John Cocktosten Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Twitter truly exposes the mentally challenged. And what the hell does finna mean?
Doc Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He didn't belong on it anyways. He is slightly above average LT who gets to play next to the best guard in the NFL. Not only that, but the NFC LT pool is the shallowest it's been in decades, what with Walter Jones and Jammal Brown not playing this year, Chris Samuels and Jordan Gross getting injured early, and Chad Clifton and Flozell Adams in decline.
JohnC Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Supposedly, McKinnie himself cared enough to openly campaign for the honor. Guessing the other players might not be in the mood to vote for him again ... Maybe he has a bonus clause in his contract for making the all-star team?
Doc Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Maybe he has a bonus clause in his contract for making the all-star team? Most players do. That's why the Pro Bowl has become a joke.
Mike in Syracuse Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Most players have a financial incentive in their contract that kicks in if they get named to the pro bowl. It's not an insignificant about and I've heard numbers in the $200,000 range. I doubt he'll get paid now......LOL.
Nanker Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 And to think that but for a Donahoe brain fart he could have been in Miami representing The Bills.

I wonder if the union attorneys will sneer at their idiot client? LOL
Lori Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 And to think that but for a Donahoe brain fart he could have been in Miami representing The Bills. Debatable. As Doc pointed out, NFC tackles were a mediocre lot this season. The top four vote-getters on the AP All-Pro team were all from the AFC (Ryan Clady, Joe Thomas, Michael Roos, and Jake Long). But if you're looking for a Bills connection, McKinnie was tied for seventh on that list with Michael Oher, who they could have drafted last year, and one vote behind Jason Peters, who they could have kept ...
ganesh Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He didn't belong on it anyways. He is slightly above average LT who gets to play next to the best guard in the NFL. Exactly. I think he is way overrated and the beating up of the Bills for taking Mike Williams is unwarranted.

Please God...let the entire thing be turned over to Nix and senile old Ralph and his buddy Russ Smithers stay the hell out of it!
Mr. WEO Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He didn't belong on it anyways. He is slightly above average LT who gets to play next to the best guard in the NFL. I was under the impression that the Pro Bowl was the showcase for slightly above average LTs.
Gabe Northern Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Not only that, but the NFC LT pool is the shallowest it's been in decades, what with Walter Jones and Jammal Brown not playing this year, Chris Samuels and Jordan Gross getting injured early, and Chad Clifton and Flozell Adams in decline. This is a great point. McKinnie might, in fact, have merited the selection. Sometimes it's about having guys that suck less than their peers at the position.
