sharper802 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Anyone have any idea??? Jim Mora Jr is out there. Who could they be waiting on from the SB teams? Gailey seems to be hiring guys that have coached at their respective level in the past. That would seem to go against hiring a position coach from one of the SB teams to ascend to the DC position. Anyone else have a guess....
BeastMode54 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 It's either a coach on one of the SB teams, which I think is unlikely, or it's a college coach that will be announced after college signing day. Not gonna be someone we "know"
Wagon Circler Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 They are taking their sweet time. I think it was more likely they'd interview someone from last weeks teams. The Jets or Minny which both had very good defenses this year.
Buffalo 66 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I heard it might be Georgia Techs Assistant to the assistant linebackers coach, he is only 75 years old and he has ties to both Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey !!
Dan Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Because his current team is still in the Super Bowl.
BrooklynBills Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 It's going to be George Edwards. Coaches a 34 and knows Gailey. He was just hired as Florida's DC. Maybe he is taking time with the decision and the Bills are waiting for him. They have time.

They have time. this is who i thought originally it would be too. not sure if Urban is ready to let him go at this point or not, but he'd be a good choice. Clancy would be fine too. So would Cottrell. Just not Jim Bates. I'm not sure he is the answer, though I am starting to think an all out switch to a 3-4 isn't the answer, at least short term. a hybrid would be good while we still have mostly personnel for a 4-3.
BuffaloBaumer Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 as soon as national signing day is over, Bills will announce their guy (Friday). They already know who it is.....
