I jsut watched TT interview talking about how people don't understand that RW is a business guy... I do understand that but when he lies to Bills fans like this offseason... that's just BS... "Bills owner Ralph Wilson is willing to spend upwards of $10 million to land the right person." "It's not about money, it's about winning," Wilson said. I don't think RW spent 10mil on Chen... yet the stadium is full every season and will be again this season even if there is no TO signing or anything like it... Bills fans love football no matter what... and it's come around to kick us in the ass... One last point if he is so concerned about money... RAISE TICKET PRICES... how many people here would rather pay more for a ticket and win rather then less and watch out team suck for the next 10 years. It helped Buffalo sell some tickets and increase attention to the coach search. I've heard Channy is getting 3M per, and it's a cost savings because he's the de facto OC as well. Modkins probably isn't being paid much with his wonderful resume. I wouldn't be so sure about the stadium being filled next season even with a big name player signing to a short term contract, a la TO. By interviewing a grand total of 5 people for 2 of the most crucial jobs in the franchise, the Bills showed they're concerned with making as little commitment as possible given the owner's age. I wonder if they even sold many season tickets with the whole coach thing. I think (hope) Bills fans are smarter to wait untill he really hires a top noch coach and see through his BS. It is all about Ralph's wallet. He tries to blow smoke up our butts with "it's all about winning" crap, but any sober person with common sense knows the real truth. Not cheap, but stupid, who was the genius that extended DJ when everyone else knew it wasn't going to work out. It is his fault and nobody else's that he is paying two coaches at the same time. Beside, selling out one of our home games to Toronto, and giving us a disadvantage that no other NFL team has, gives him the money to pay for both coaches and he gets change back, just like McDonald's. I am not saying this is true but still. Believe it or not I am more optimistic on the Bills situation lately. I think they have a better market and team then teams looking for a coach like OAK and WAS. So I feel we could have done better then Chan. He couldn't even coach a average GT team. He left GT and the 2 years after turned into a great team. What happened to BB... I don't think they would have to have paid him 10 mil to coach but he is an upgrade from Chan offer him 6 mil. You people act like we hired Jauron again. He has coached top 10 offenses. His teams he is on, either as a coordinator or head coach go to the playoffs or Bowl games. He is 98-62 as a head coach combined. He was qualified for the job. Everything Bills fans wanted he had, except his last name wasnt Cowher or Shanahan. As much as you want to hate Ralph, there was no other better owner for Buffalo and there will never be a better owner. It was then that word spread how RW would be willing to pay 10M to hire a name guy to come in. OBD has never sold hope better than in the November through early January time frame.
